Nice out door space.

I didn’t get to go in. The outside is a nice place for a walk or sit to read. I see people there exercising. The museum is nearby and the parks is a great place for people watching.

Live Music!

This is a perfect place to see live music! We saw Samantha Fish, River Kittens and Devon Allman (son of Greg), all for about $40, and had terrific seats.

Good luck finding where to park and where you should go.

This place is a literal maze. If you have never been here before, expect to drive in circles a couple of times. The parking is a sh#$ show and then it's another game trying to find the spot you are heading to. ALL of that said, the acoustics were GREAT in the small theater.

Unfortunate overzealous oversight

We really were excited about seeing Kenny Wayne Shepherd at the Egg. We have seen other blues bands there and love the intimate nature of the venue. I like to dance and stand up during a show . We asked if we could leave our seats and stand up on the back of the theatre . While we were enjoying the show another couple made conversation about a particular song selection that was being played.. Shortly after a brief exchange between us we were approached by an usher who asked if we had seats, then he told me we were shouting during the concert. . I felt harassed in the sense that at a rock /blues show it is not uncommon to express appreciation by hooting etc. I understand that the ushers have a big job keeping track of who is keeping a mask on but the attempt to squash fun and exuberance is the antithesis of the spirit of musical appreciation.

Almost Queen

Very Very small venue. If you want a beer you will wait in line over 30 minutes, if you have to go to bathroom you will wait over 20 minutes . You also can't drink the beer in the venue. Way not worth it

Wonderful small venue

Not knowing what to expect, we decided to catch a show at the Egg. What a pleasant surprise. We were in the smaller of the two theaters - maybe about 500 seats. Great acoustics and not a bad seat in the house. Very intimate concert setting. A bonus is the on site parking which is only $5.00. It’s in the same building as the concert halls and the elevator from the garage takes you right to the lobby of the theater. (Take the exit for the concert venue and the “visitors garage” is right there) Overall great experience.

Nice building- tour not interesting for kids or teens

We wanted to like this building but the tour was boring.not for kids. The shape of the building is interesting and thats all. also not happy that I didn't know where to take a photo in front of the building. TBH, maybe they disclosed on the tour but my kids wanted to die from boredom so we had to exit early.

Awesome venue for a concert.

The Hart Auditorium is an awesome place for concerts. We got to enjoy Harry Connick Jr. and it was like being in a club. He and his band said they enjoyed playing at smaller venues and seemed to be having fun.

Albany's entertainment gem

After seeing over 50 shows, I can safely say The Egg is a wonderful venue to see live music. Having the option of two separate venues is also a plus for those lesser known and/or acoustic leaning acts that work better in a smaller more intimate setting.
