Unique and authentic experience

We had a great time making our own jewellery. Instead of buying them overpriced somewhere else, you could choose your own colours and designs and make them yourself while supporting local girls. The lunch was great as well, it was typically Tanzanian and very delicious!

Interesting and great experience

The people there were very nice and helpful.
Watching the people work and use the weaving machine was very interesting and impressive.
I loved to make the beautiful jewellery.
The Food was traditional and very tasty.

Herzliche Mamas, toller Schmuck und leckeres Essen

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Vormittag bei Afrikan Wear Design. Es war super spannend zu erfahren, wie aufwendig das Weben und färben ist. Uns wurde sehr viel erklärt und später beim Schmuck machen haben uns die lieben Mamas geduldig alles gezeigt und und geholfen, unsere Vorstellungen zu verwirklichen. Das Mittagessen war köstlich und im Shop gibt es viele wunderschöne Sachen zu super Preisen. Genau richtig um ein paar echte tansanische Souvenirs mitzubringen.

Great tour

The tour at Afrikan Wear Design was a really lovely way to spend a few hours. The products they make there are beautiful, and very fairly priced - and so it’s really wonderful to see how things are made. On top of this to make and take home our own jewellery was so fun! The lunch was excellent as well. Everyone was kind and welcoming and I’d love to go back!!
