We chose safari to remember and Abdi as a guide on a friend's recommendations and we did well. Abdi speaks very good English and goes to great lengths to make us full of it. He is very kind and has an eye for finding the most beautiful specimens. Thank you!!

We had another incredible trip with Raphael of Safari to Remember. Having safaried previously we knew what we enjoyed and the experts at Safari to Remember were able to create a trip catered to our tastes and budget. They thought of everything. They even added a walking safari and a night drive which were both amazing. The accommodations were perfect (heavy on the glamping as we requested) the food was abundant and delicious, and the encounters with wildlife were numerous and exhilarating. Each day brought new adventures, and all enriched by our guide’s extensive knowledge of all things Tanzanian. This Tanzanian owned company is outstanding in providing the ultimate safari experience - and at making you feel like a cherished friend in your shared journey. We cannot recommend them more highly.

Safari to Remember lives up to its name and beyond. Our guide Rafael took us on the adventure of our lives. This is a small company, owned by three Tanzanian guides who have decades of experience. Raphael, one of the owners/guides, clearly loves Tanzania and has huge respect for the wildlife and environment on which his business depends. His depth of knowledge is deep. He often took us away from the fray to witness a myriad of animals and their unique behaviours up close. Safari To Remember is not foreign owned as so many of the other safari companies are which for me is important. I want to invest in the country in which I travel and this small, locally owned business is first rate - nimble, exceptionally knowledgable and eager to meet our needs and expectations. If you’re thinking of booking an African safari, I want to encourage you to reach out to A Safari To Remember. They live up to their name.

I recently did a 3 day climb to Horombo hut on Mt. Kilimanjaro with a friend. I am 71 with no previous climbing experience. Our guides and team were excellent. They were very encouraging to me and because of this I made it to the 2nd hut which was my goal. The meals were nutritious and tasty. The details of our climbing adventure where planned well. The lodge that was booked for us by Safari to Remember before and after our 3 day climb was a perfect place to start and end our climb. I would definitely recommend Safari to Remember for your Tanzanian adventures!

« Good safari is made with good people »
Abdi was so right!
Abdi was our guide for 6 days of safari.
I would take too much time to say how wonderful he is.
Helpful, kind, funny and with such knowledge! He answered every questions we had!
What’s best about Abdi is that he doesn’t follow the routes, literally speaking, he will take you where nobody does so you will feel like you are alone in the parc (which is great because sometimes there can be a lot of vehicules together)
Thanks to him, we got to see so many animals, even the rare one’s because he is not just driving but he is really looking for the animals and he has a PERFECT sight (eagle’s eyes!!!)
Abdi has been doing this for 20 years now and he is still very passionate about his work.
We will miss him a lot.
Soon we will be back in Tanzanie and we will go straight to Abdi for sure!

Just returned from a amazing trip through Tanzania with these guys. All guides are not the same. There is a reason why all the other guides from other companies gave Abdi the nickname Eagle Eyes. 2O+ years of experience spotting animals at distance and in heavy cover has excelled him to a Master among his peers.
He spotted so many animals that others drove by. This allowed for amazing photos with just our vehicle until the others poached our spot. Saw 10X the number of animals from previous safaris here and Amdi new everything about every animal. An encyclopedia for Tanzanian wildlife.
I never leave reviews, to busy with other adventure thoughts but Amdi and Safari To Remember warrants special consideration. Not only did he find the big five multiple days they were able to take care of all the COVID requirements everywhere and any other non safari related problems that arose on our trip. I hope I have created a friend for life. Thank you so much from my wife and myself for an amazing adventure. Can’t wait to come back. I’ll be kind and not post the video of masturbating baboons, you’ll have to search for that yourself 😂
Please note the umbilical cord on the one week old giraffe…….yeah he picked that out too !

My wife and I, and another couple just finished a 12 day safari in Tanzania with Safari to Remember. The company is small and has only been in business for about a year. Do not let this deter you. All of the operators are experienced guides and have top notch service. Our guide, Raphael, is one of the founders of the company. I met Raphael over 10 years ago when he was with another company, and we developed such a relationship that we remained in touch.
Safari to Remember offers a variety of pricing levels and options from budget to luxury. They are attentive and fully customizable. Raphael’s offered suggestions but was open to input. Each day he focused the activities on our wants and needs. Raphael loves the bush and this shows in his daily approach.
Raphael, Joseph, Abdi, and George are wonderful people. They will serve your needs, customize a trip around your desire and price point, and will share their vast experience with you. Rather than booking with one of the large cookie cutter safari companies go with Safari to Remember. You will not be disappointed!

Our trip was absolutely amazing and Abdi has my highest recommendation.
We took a 13-day "Northern Circuit" Safari with Abdi as our guide from Safari to Remember. Abdi and his partners each have 20+ years of guiding experience with other organizations and have recently branched out on their own.
Abdi safely and expertly guided our family (parents and two teens) through Arusha N.P., Tarangire N.P., Ngorogoro Crater, Serengeti N.P., Lake Manyara N. P., Ndutu and Lake Eyasi. He never ceased to amaze me with his deep understanding and experience to ensure this was a trip of a lifetime for our family.
That included:
1) His understanding of animal behavior--when to back away for safety and where to position us to get the best pictures. There were several times on the trip when Abdi did not follow where most of the guides were driving. It was as if he knew what the animal was thinking and we ended up positioned perfectly when the action happened.
2) His thoughtfulness to provide extra comforts such as carrying a tablecloth and chairs for our picnics, producing a great bottle of wine and glasses at the perfect sunset or stopping on the side of the road to buy some red bananas knowing we had never had them.
3) His incredible ability to navigate the very tough roads while having an uncanny ability to spot to tiniest movement which turns out to be something we wanted to see. My wife commented several times that she wished my drivng was more like Abdi's!
4) His knowledge of the region, its animals and his ability to tell us interesting tidbits which enhanced our education of Tanzania, the culture of the people and understanding of the animals.
5) Abdi's and his partners ability to manage the details--accommodations, the game drives, the great picnic lunches in the parks, and hiring of cultural guides when appropriate. We specifically asked Abdi to provide a mix of accommodations, so that we could experience a range from more luxurious to more rustic and the accommodations he booked gave us the experience we were looking for. The food was very good and arriving at each place, we were given such a special welcome.
This was a great experience and provided impressive memories of seeing the "Big Five". Abdi and his team at Safari to Remember were perfect!
