“Can definitely skip this”

除了花园里的一些乌龟，要花一万二千先令看一下，什么都不值得一提。后面的人在卖纪念品，但是几乎到处都是一样的东西。这是一个不错的位置，但是最好是租个车去文化遗产中心。

Within walking distance from the clock tower in Arusha CBD

The Museum is within walking distance from the clock tower in Arusha CBD. You can easily have a coffee in the area and walk in for a quick look around. Go to the back entrance exit to see the painters at work and get some wares when you're there.

You could get a guide but I didn't need to take one.

Very affordable too. (TSH 2,500 without a guide)

The museum exhibit was very well done and provided a great deal of information. The exhibit was also interactive, which made it more enjoyable. Overall, the experience was very educational and enjoyable.👍🏾👍🏾

Only $6 for varied, interesting, relaxed wander through museum

Very relaxed and not information overload which we like. 3 main areas that you take at your own pace: human evolution, photos of safari animals, smaller area for German colonialism. Then theres some turtles to see/hold. Art area out the back but noone is pushy or anything. It's all very pleasant and a nice way to spend an hour.

Evening tour

Small museum but comprises of everything for a perfect evening walk , there are even small cages for birds(Eagle) , a lot of big tortoise 😂 and of course a good garden to rest

Arusha (and surroundings) history, plants and animals in a nutshell

We enjoyed this museum located in an old German fort. Our guide, Israel, took us through the various parts of the museum (human evolution, botanic garden, taxidermy workshop, arusha history) and explained us everything we wanted to know. My 7 year old son got all the information related to plants and animals he was eager to learn about. The full tour lasted about 2 hours. We recommend this visit which is worth its price.

Zeit und Geld nicht wert

Das Museum ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und der Besuch war den Eintrittspreis wirklich nicht wert. Der botanische Garten ist sehr ungepflegt. Hinten im Garten sind einige Schildkröten auf einer kleinen Fläche gehalten und ein Adler in einem kleinen Käfig, definitiv keine artgerechte Haltung.
Wir haben es bereut dass wie hierfür Zeit und Geld verschwendet haben.

With a visit if you have a day or two in Arusha

We had a great time visiting this museum before heading up Kilimanjaro and a safari.

We had a guide (Eric) who did a fantastic job touring us around the museum. Great way to get familiar with Tanzania and some of the history here. We got introduced to animals we would see later in the safari as well as some of the notable fossils found in Tanzania like Lucy.

If you have a day or two in Arusha I recommend checking it out.

Et udemærket museum til at få set nogle af de vigtigste fund om menneskets oprindelse. Ved siden af også en lille botanisk samli

Vi besøgte museet for at se og høre om fundende af de forhistoriske mennesker i Tanzania. Vi fik en guidet tur, hvilket godt kan anbefales og vi blev ledt igennem fundene. Desuden var der en samling af smukke naturfotografier og en lille botanisk samling.
Museet kan anbefales hvis man har 1-2 timer til over i Arusha og har naturhistorisk interesse

Has a lot of teaching about evolution of man

I liked the fact that I only had to walk to it after I had finished my errands in town and I was not disappointed. It showed me a lot about the evolution of the people and the city of Arusha. I was surprised they also had a botanical garden and an arts shop at the back.
