Très belle aventure de 2 jours dans la nature Thaïlandaise ! Nous avons pu apprendre beaucoup de choses sur la flore locale comme trouver de l'eau dans les bambous par exemple. Entre les succulents repas réalisés sur place et la rencontre des populations locales, comment rêver mieux !
Nous recommandons absolument pour connaître une expérience de l'authenticité de la Thaïlande accompagnés très bons guides, dévoués, expérimentés et très amicaux !!!

We had a full day hiking trip in the hills around Chiang Mai with the Chai Machete team, and what an exceptional day it was! Together with our 3 boys (14, 11 and 9 years old we started with a visit at a tea plantation, went up into the hills to see an isolated waterfall where we could swim. Along the way our guides where of the biggest attention to the wellbeing of us and our boys and made fantastic tools such as shooting sticks, and other toys just with their knife and what the nature offered them. For lunch we stopped in a very small village in the hills wher they cooked the most amazing lunch for us. The trip ended with a visit to a hot spring. We enjoyed that it is not a touristic trip where all the vans come together and you feel like a number, no we didn’t see any other tourist the entire day, where well taken care off and saw an amazing country and its nature. Simply a no- brainer! You will be taken care off if you are on a trip with them! Thanks again for this amazing day

100% recommended! We went with the loveliest lady in the world, his son and Cho, a great guide! We had a blast trekking in the jungle, having an amazing local lunch cooked by ourselves, and finished a great day in the waterfall. They also handed lots of presents made of bamboo that they built themselves with the machetes. We fell in love with the experience and cannot thank them enough for an unforgettable day.

My partner and I had an excellent experience trekking through the jungle to our guides Mo’s family hill tribe village (Lisu). Mo cooked us an amazing dinner making us feel very welcome in the village with his family and friends. We were joined by another couple and guide Kear for our 2nd day walking to the waterfall before Mo and Kear making us another excellent cooked meal on a fire in Bamboo. Mo also made us bowls, spoons and a rings from Bamboo and just loves being in the jungle his enthusiasm made it an overall excellent experience for us and one of the best tours I have done. We enjoyed the guys company throughout and ended up going to the office for a drink after the tour, thanks for a great time guys!

My hotel recommended this tour and I booked after checking here. It was as good as others have said. 1000 baht, when many other tour companies are charging double that and visiting fewer places. This is probably the best value tour I've been on anywhere in the world.
We visited the White Temple, Blue Temple, Black House, Long Neck Village, Choui Fong Tea Plantation, had a lunch stop, then Monkey Temple, Mae Sai Border Town, Golden Triangle, Opium Museum. As others have mentioned, there are small additional entrance fees is some locations.
If you don't want to go into the Long Neck Village (300 baht extra), there's a pleasant area outside with lots of delicious local pineapple for sale. They might even give you free samples. Our driver was just how I like one to be. He provided useful information and walked us through some places, but mostly he let us explore at our own pace.

This is a great tour for those looking to avoid animal attractions and to see the thai countryside!
We were picked up by An in the morning. Full of jokes and smiles.
He asked straight away if there were any dietary requirements, which was great for me as I hate being the annoying veggie!
He stopped to pick up the ingredients at a small market shop and then proceeded to our first stop.
He also asked if we like dogs which we absolutely do! And he then picked up 2 of them to join us on our walk!
The first part of the trek lasted a couple hours, mostly uphill on uneven ground. An made conversation with us and was making crafts from bamboo with his machete the whole way.
We then headed to the first hilltribe to do bamboo cooking. The tribe were getting on with their daily business and we got to use their kitchen area which is essentially a bamboo hut.
The food was delicious. Veggies and meat eaters well catered for.
We joined another couple for the next part of the trek to the waterfall. Be brave, get in. The floor is soft sand and it is not too deep.
The next tribe village was nothing to write home about, the usual goods for sale.
The final stop was the hot spring, more like a warm swimming bath than hot springs we have experienced before. The ice cappuccino frappes are lovely here.
Overall, we had a great day with An, his machete and 2 dogs. Thank you for a great day!

I did a one day motor cycle tour guided by kear. We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring the local sights and scenery - including The White Temple, Blue Temple, Black House, a short but energizing hike to khun kon waterfall and a visit to the most eccentric sight I've seen yet in this country - the female Buddha on the hill. We motored on big roads, small roads and trails and adjusted the itinerary as we went along in order to enjoy some sights for longer and not to bother with others. kear also gave some context and background history to many of the sights. His English is amazing. I would highly, highly recommend this tour and company. Thank you Kear to you and your brother.

We booked full 2 days tour with Chai Machete Tours. On the first day we visited Doi Mae Salong, Doi Tung & Golden Triangle and on the second day Boat ride on Kok River, Bhudda Cave, Elephant Care(Not happy seeing the elephant condition), Wat Huay Pla Kang, Blue Temple and Wat Phra Kaeo. We were accompanied by Kear a our Driver & Guide. The vehicle was in nice condition and Kear's driving was very safe & comfortable. And thankful to Kear for some great photos.

We booked a Chiang Rai sightseeing day tour with Chai Machete Tour via our hotel. The tour lasted from 8-8.30am (varying pick-up timings from hotels) to 7pm (drop-off at hotel or nearby prominent attractions such as the Chiang Rai Night Bazaar and Clock Tower). The tour cost 1000 baht. Separate admission fees applied to several attractions (White Temple 100 baht, Black House 80 baht, Long Neck Village 300 baht) but the guide let the group collectively decide whether they wanted to visit these attractions. My group visited the White Temple, Blue Temple, Black House, Choui Fong Tea Plantation, Monkey Temple, 212 House Of Opium Museum, Mae Sai Border Town, Golden Triangle, and Wat Pa Sak (though I believe Wat Pa Sak was an additional stop as the group had given the Long Neck Village a miss). The driver/guide did not only bring us to the locations, but also walked us through some of the attractions (particularly the White Temple) while describing the brief history, sharing his own opinions, and answering questions. He also gave us some time to walk around on our own and take photographs. The time spent at each location was understandably not very long but not too frenzied or rushed either. The tour package also included a buffet lunch at Nayoi Restaurant, where the food was tasty albeit cold, with around 10 choices including stir-fried vegetables, chicken curries, fried rice, and noodles. Overall, though I usually prefer travelling on my own on foot or via public transport, I felt that this tour package was worth it as it allowed us to comprehensively visit the popular sightseeing attractions in Chiang Rai, with some insights from the guide and without worrying about transport issues.

Hi I used chai and they were brilliant i found them on Facebook (chai machete tours) and you can then message them with any questions you have on there.
Hope this helps, you won't regret it their amazing
