I have been seeing yasmine for more than 10 years on holiday and I think that she has lost her charm, people no longer have the joy of living the service has deteriorated and the Awards are exaggerated regarding some services

The animation is great they really become friends Kimo is fab and truly wants to do a good job 👍. The rooms are ok fridge and nice comfy clean rooms . Food is ok good choice is good but very slow on service . Everyone try’s to assist as much as they can to make your stay good . Bar staff are fab friendly know our names and the drinks we order .

Yasmin they call New Medina is the most expensive place I've ever shopped for fake bags...I've been sworn at ( TOLD TO EFF OFF ) VERY AGGRESSIVE TO WOMAN ON THERE OWN and when we did agree on a price it went up to 160 dinar.. we agreed on £25.. Then he wanted £27 ..then went up to £60..Robbing us blind..He told me his father worked at airport and got them cheap ...Does he think we're stupid...DONT BUY YOU BAGS HERE

They tell you that they are cooks of your hotel to try to create trust and con you by taking you to places where they charge commission, low quality products at gold prices, liars and rags, it is not a medina where they trade, is oriented to con the tourist. However much you think you’re haggling, they’ll always try to charge you more than a quarter of their price. We have Morocco next door to enjoy the medina of Tetouan for example to leave in love with its culture and customs. Nothing to do with it. First place on the right when entering the Hammamet medina, the worst. Don't even stop and talk, they treat us like fools thinking that with their lies you're going to share something with them and if you don't, they even insult you.

A destination if you want to spend more time in a hotel than going out to explore the location. Not huge amounts to do, it’s surprising just how many hotels are here but no a great deal to do.
If walking around, be prepared to be pestered by shop employees trying to get you to visit their shop. Sometimes a simple no doesn’t work and we found just continuing to walk past made it easier to not be drawn into conversations. They love to try and draw you in using sale tactics such as ‘I’m the cook at your hotel and it’s my day off’ to engage in a conversation and then try and get you in a shop. Black Friday sales were on everyday, so don’t believe that they are putting on a once only flash sale. For someone who enjoys looking around shops on holiday, this actually put me off wanting to go out and look at shops and found myself trying to cross the road in order not to be bothered.
The beaches are mostly sectioned by hotel owned beaches, so this was good that you knew you could always get a space from your hotel and a sunbed which didn’t need to be paid for. The beaches are generally clean and the water on a calm sea day can be clear in parts. Not the clear water sea that I was hoping for though. Be prepared to be approached by people selling things on the beach. The use of animals such as turtles and chameleons are used to draw you in. If you take anything from them or have pictures, be prepared to pay some money towards it.
Horse and carriages/carts are used to take tourists to different locations along the sea front and by Carthage land. So most of the time there is a strong smell of urine around those areas. For me, I just felt sorry for the horses as I didn’t see them get fed and watered once.
People follow no real rules when driving, so make sure you look when crossing the road. Taxis can be found quite easily at the large roundabout, I would recommend asking how much to a destination before getting in so you know how much they are likely to charge you. If you smoke, best to buy cigarettes on your plane journey over, unless you don’t mind smoking fake cigarettes. Lots of shops will try and sell you cartons and always more than one at a time. Most of these are no good.

Beautiful experience, the Médina is always an insertion of colors, scents and sociability. A little more touristy than the Old Medina of Hammamet, but always a great experience. Fun to negotiate prices with locals and if you have the time and desire do great deals.

Hi, I’m travelling at the end of June with my two daughters, 18 and 20. The eldest wants to go off exploring the local shops on her own.. From experience, will she feel safe or will she be hounded by shopkeepers etc? I know she’s an adult but would you be comfortable with your 20 year old daughter going exploring? I’m feeling reluctant until I’ve checked it out myself.

In my opinion, sellers do not work like in Arab stores. This is a mostly Buddhist country, so you should be less stressed :)

Bonjour. Je suis à côté d l hôtel Leila et niveau météo ça va mieux que les 2 jours precedant..soleil es au rdv. Prévoir pour le soir par contre.. Piscine extérieure très froide. La mer est plus chaude au moins 20 degrés.

Hi thank you for choosing ( Tunisia and Hammamet ) for your holidays the weather in January is generaly fine but not guaranteed and it IS IMPOSSIBLE for you to swim outside but you have the indoor swimming pool in the hôtel itself all you have to do is to see with the reception and you have the opportunity to do a spa massage

There were a couple of sites on Google that we used to pre book taxis. They showed a range of rates and the cars and drivers were much better than local taxis, which are pretty nasty and none we found had seat belts, air con or drivers who spoke English. The booking sites are pre paid and include tip, driver contact and no surprises.

tres bon hôtel connu pour sa Thalasso et pour louer une voiture voyez avec la réception mais je vous conseille amicalement de ne pas conduire car vous ne connaissez pas notre style de conduite pour votre sécurité je vous le déconseille

As long as your sensible you shouldn’t have any problem, shorts, T-shirt’s, dresses.
Around the pool and beach area bikinis are fine not a problem.
