September 2014, I went in 5,500 except that the guy at the counter adds you 2 dt for the drink knowing that they have nothing except coffee or water I had to insist for the the otherwise apart from the Villa which is nice the rest it to do once but do not take the drink it is not worth it, the country is tired bcp theft even in the shops the Awards indicated are for some products more expensive at the checkout that the Award indicates at the store it has nothing to do with the last time I came in m, ai or it was still going but there they try to scratch at your Awards either by not returning the change or saying they forget or scratch you a few thousand
Personally I won't go back there to shop either at mg Hammamet or go to the cafe which is next to the mahmoud Pension the owner is nice and the Awards cheap otherwise they lack bcp of foodstuffs and Awards are very expensive pay attention and people have become cold and mean

We arrived just after opening and we were the only visitors for about an hour. We started with the gardens, which are fairly overgrown but do have lots of fruit trees to look at. There was a small farming exhibition, but no information in English, so Google translate was very useful. We had a look at the amphitheatre and then wandered around to the villa. The guide gave us a private tour, which was great - there's no information in the villa, so having bits explained is very useful. He then made us both a coffee and we sat around the (empty) pool thinking about what the place must have been like in it's heyday.
With a visit, but your imagination will be needed to appreciate what the place was (and what it could be).

Nice Villa and gardens that deserve a visit.

A visit not to be missed, the Villa is superb, the interior beautiful, very beautiful contemporary realization with surprising interior fittings, moreover the Guide is very exciting and passionate, the rest of the visit in the park did not interest me too much, I will gladly return and recommend this place

This was really stunning. The art and architecture were breathtaking. An oasis away from the busy road outside. I really enjoyed it. Entrance fee is cheap. My only issue as a female solo traveller was that the grounds were quite isolated with only me and another couple there. I felt a bit uncomfortable when I was hounded by one of the staff or I would have stayed longer. Entrance fee is cheap. An architectural delight built by Romanian millionaire George Sebastian.

Very well maintained, inexpensive, a good souvenir, with the entrance ticket a free tea or drink, it's very pleasant.

I had been here many years earlier and on boiling hot day and it's a stunning refuge from the heat and bustle of Hammamet. It wasn't quite so hot this April and the swimming pool was empty so no dipping of the feet in the cool water, but this place is full of history. A lot of the original features are still in place like the refridgerator, bath and shower fittings and if it was made into hotel that was still open to the public between certain hours, it would be amazing.
The guide gave us an exclusive tour around the house, as we possible the first visitors of the day, and told us of the history of the place, where Churchill composed some of his memoires, where Rommel slept and Montgomery and many others had visited.
So much more could be made of the place......which goes for much of Tunisia.

Rather disappointing, poorly maintained, the garden full of trees and other species of plants is rather neglected, there are many abandoned objects, the amphitheater is built in concrete and looks more like a war remnant but the view of the sea is wonderful....you pay an entrance fee but It's not clear whether you pay 5 DT or 7 DT depending on the mood of the guard. I don't recommend tea. The interior must have been very beautiful but now it's dirty and neglected. No furniture or carpets, which must have been rich in.

Splendid villa which reflects very beautiful architecture.
The orchards are magnificent....and the squeezed orange juice offered is a pure delight...picked directly from the trees.
Unfortunately, the estate is not highlighted enough.....unmaintained furniture, fallow gardens...feeling of abandonment...what a shame..

hi, I visited George Sebastian Villa a long time ago. I would like to know if a pale image of his face carved on marble was placed in the corner of the pool/pond and no matter where one stood he seemed to be looking at one. I seem to remember this image every time I think of this Villa. Can someone enlighten me on this.
