我们坐大巴从游乐场就下车了，工作人员指导我们穿过游乐场又坐了几分钟火车才到达河口湖站，从河口湖站徒步走到河口湖游船码头只有不到1公里路程，最后坐上游船从湖中远眺富士山，远处的富士山顶被白云覆盖，近处湖水碧波荡漾，别有一番景色。

这次去爬富士山，遇上台风，五合目登山口就有工作人员说可能爬到半路就会封山了，但后来天气不错，爬到了八合目小屋，但没办法再往上，攻顶失败

我知道每个人都会推荐来富士山旅行的，所以当然我也要来这里看看。从东京出发需要两个小时，穿过这边的高速公路就能够到达。我建议大家选择在适合的季节来这边徒步旅行，这样你可以有机会爬完这座山。另外，在夏天的时候山上景点在所有的时间段都会开放。

山底和观景台都很美丽。该地区的湖泊是干净的，值得一看！一定要通过索道到达最高点，鸟瞰美景！当你在山顶祈祷的时候，敲一下钟！

深深觉得这里是河口湖旅游的亮点。园区进入有日式庭院的fu, 但园内建筑是彷高第风格。大师惊人的和服创作，让人目不转睛、连呼啧啧，不同时期的和服有不同的创作风格，仔细端详，心情仿佛也得到升华，不忍离去。买了名信片几组，缅怀大师风范。

山屋都很干净，登山路线良好，以高山来说不会太难，上到山上可以远眺神奈川，但清晨若要重八合目攻顶看日出的话，建议提早出发，免得塞车塞在路上。

要是去日本，你必定不能错过富士山和日本的活火山。最高可以到第五级，那是他们允许游客到达的最高的地方。如果你真的对自然感兴趣而且热爱自然，那就徒步旅行来丈量这里吧

Hi! I’m planning to be in Japan (mostly in Tokyo) January 2024. My dream is to spend one or two nights in a cabin or hotel with hot springs and a view of mt Fuji!! Is this a thing that time of year? I hear it’s below freezing! (I live in Chicago so not afraid of cold, just want the peaceful and beautiful view!!!

Hi I would like you stay at a hotel with views of Mount Fuji with hot spring pools on the 29/09/20020 ( it’s my 50th birthday 😊) but all the hotels seem booked at that time? Is there something going on at that time or do they not open there booking so far into the future.

So I'm planning on going to Japan in June-July and I'm wanting to climb Mt. Fuji. Would renting the equipment to climb Mt. Fuji be better for someone that is going to be traveling throughout Japan or should I purchase my own gear to climb up?

I would say the most important piece of equipment is good hiking boots. I lugged my hiking boots with me all over Japan in my suitcase and I'm really glad I did. My friend that was with me wasn't prepared and only had his sneakers. He slipped a lot on the way down. I didn't bring much gear or equipment otherwise. The only thing I wish I had done differently was either bring a waterproof cover for my backpack or had everything in waterproof plastic bags inside the pack. Even if it rains for 10 minutes everything will get wet. The weather can change rapidly and drastically. Like the other poster wrote, constantly shedding and then putting clothes back on, It got cold at night so you wan't to make sure you have something dry. Extra socks and also a decent head lamp to see in the dark is highly recommended. Lots of water too. Lots of gear not really necessary. Just dry, warm, hydrated and comfortable. You really don't want to carry more than you have to. Have fun!

Mt. Fuji with snow on the summit is seen from mid sep to early July.

We were lucky when we were there, as every now and then the clouds moved and the mountain became visible enough to photograph, but it was not brilliant. Most of the time it was overcast. We were in Japan for the "sakura", or cherry blossom time in April.

I will be proceeding to Mount Fuji from Haneda Airport in late August. Is it better to purchase train tickets from Tokyo to Mt Fuji before arrival or to do so upon arrival?

I like to just buy the ticket when I’m there at the airport/train station etc. This way if there are any hiccups I can be flexible and don’t have to worry.

Hi,
Thinking to climb Mt Fuji, starting drom 5th station in the afternoon, stay overnight in a mountain hut, then climb in morning to catch sunrise at the top.
Would it be better to stay in the Five lakes area, or can I stay in Hakone and catch a bus there? How far is Hakone from Mt Fuji 5th station?

I would not recommend starting from 5th station in the afternoon as it’s too late. We arrived at 5thstation about 10 in the morning and we left from Tokyo, but collected others from Gotemba station which is close to Hakone. You need to give yourself plenty of time to get up the mountain and take rest breaks along the way. We arrived at one of the 8th stations at around 4.30 in the afternoon and we were in the faster group. The slower group did not make it until around 6 and its getting dark.
