It's a shame that there isn't much to see.
There's nothing to see except the plums.
If you go at the wrong time of year, there's nothing there.
There's not a single place in the park where you can relax and eat and drink, so you can't even relax.
All there is are stalls that are like even worse food stalls, or what remains of food stalls.
If you want to eat something in the park, there is a convenience store nearby, so your only option is to buy something there.
I wonder who is managing this place?

Speaking of Atami, it's plum blossoms.
This is a must-see spot when you go to Atami from February to March.
I visited in early February, and the plum blossoms were about 50% in bloom.
There is a parking lot, but it is paid parking. It doesn't seem to have much space, so it may not be easy to find a space on a weekend (this is my personal opinion).
It is about a 10-minute walk from Kurimiya Station. However, it is a bit of an uphill climb, so it may be a little difficult, but the footing is not bad, so it's fine if you take it easy.
If you stay in Atami city, you will receive a discount on the entrance fee.
If it is not the peak season, the entrance fee is free, but please check this point.
There are many red and white plum blossoms planted in the park.
There is also a writer's museum (however, a separate entrance fee is required).
There is a shop selling local souvenirs.

I stayed at my daughter's house the night before, and went there around 9am, so I was able to park in the parking lot near the entrance. 600 yen. Admission is 100 yen for Atami residents. On the way there, we took a stroller up a gentle slope. On the way back, there were many stairs, so three adults shared the stroller, luggage, and baby. The plum blossoms were in full bloom and beautiful, although the weeping trees hadn't yet started to bloom. The Sawada Masahiro Memorial Museum is free if you show your plum garden admission ticket. The foot bath is also free. We toured the plum garden, including the Korean garden and the Nakayama Shinpei Memorial Museum. You can also view the plum-viewing waterfall from behind.

The plum festival is here and the normal admission fee is 300 yen, but we were staying at a nearby inn and if we told them the name of the inn, the admission fee was reduced to 100 yen.
The plum blossoms were in full bloom, but the weeping cherry blossoms had not yet bloomed.
The cherry blossoms in the vicinity and at Atami Sun Beach have also begun to bloom.

It is famous for being able to see early-blooming plum blossoms.
From the end of November to the beginning of December, the plum blossoms bloom in order of early, mid-bloom, and late.
A plum festival is held every year from January to March, and the park is bustling with people, with souvenir shops and food stalls set up and events held.
When I visited, the plum blossoms were not in full bloom, so it wasn't the best time to see them, but it was still nice to be able to stroll around the large grounds at my leisure.

Visited on March 2nd and perhaps due to the colder winter the blossoms were not in full swing. There was still plenty to enjoy and the gardens themselves were a delight to walk through. There is a discount is you stay in one of the local guesthouses for for 100yen admission it would be an absolute shame to miss out on this. Bring a lunch with you and picnic in the scenery.

熱海へ行った時、ネットで調べるとまだ五分咲きだったのですが、梅まつりをやっているようだったので梅園へ行ってみました。入口近くの駐車場は満車で停められず、入口の反対側より少し先にある臨時駐車場に停めて、澤田政広記念美術館の方から梅園に入りました。梅の木によってはそこそこ見頃になっていて、韓国庭園や中山晋平記念館など梅園を巡りました。梅見の滝の裏側から観る梅の花も乙なものです。彫刻家の澤田政広記念美術館にも無料で入れました。

熱海の梅園に行きました。この時期は梅には少し早いですが、もう咲き始めています。結構人はいましたが、ゆったりと先初めの梅を楽しめました。場所によっては、奇麗な濃い桃色の花をつけた梅の木が目に入り、心落ち着く感じがしました。園内も広くて、沢山の梅が咲いており、見所満載です。また、梅園には、中山晋平記念館と澤田政廣記念日美術館もあり、違った雰囲気を味わえます。良い場所だと思います。

Mid November to early December is the Autumn Leaves Festival. Usually finishes at the end of the first week.
Go daytime and then evening to see the illuminations.

微妙な時期ですね。まったく咲いて無いわけでは無いとは思いますが、一番良い梅の時期ではないと思います。栃木や、群馬の方が、見応えのあるじきだと思います。

他のレビュアーの方々が言われる通り、駐車場は梅園入口前、道路を隔てた所にあります。有料です。なお、梅祭り期間中の週末等は駐車場へのアクセスが県道１１号（熱海市街地からJR来宮駅前を通ってくる「順路」です）からの一方通行になります。旧道＝来宮神社側からのアクセスはできませんので注意された方が良いかと思います（梅祭り期間を外せばどちらからでもＯＫです）。熱海市観光協会のホームページの梅祭りの所にも案内が出ています。
