这里海滩风景好靓，鬼之洗板拍咭胜地，也有神社参观，附近食肆也有很多，居民一般都很有礼貌是典型日本人，我们选了在鬼扇午餐，超抵食套餐唔错！

我们从米扎基租了一辆车来这里，在JR车站免费停车，在岛上来回逛了一圈。看到学生们在海滩上做运动，并注意到这里的一个国际冲浪活动的广告。神庙很漂亮，搓板岩也很神奇。我们希望有更多的时间来探索这个有趣的地方。

青岛是一个免费的生机勃勃的海滩之地。夏天的时候，有一个配有救生员的指定游泳区域，还有一个海滩公园，那里有很多食物，比如说汉堡、米饭套餐以及红酒！你也可以尝试冲浪。在桥对面有一个外表独特的神殿，从火车站出发，全都可以步行可达。每月的第四个周日，这里会有一个市集，市集上有很多有机和手工的东西。

从宫崎车站乘30分钟的火车就能到达。这里的海滩风景不错。著名的洗衣板岩和大岛寺都位于这里。慢慢走过桥，就能看到这里像搓衣板一样的天然岩层。这是拍摄一些照片的好地方。在大桥的入口处有一个植物园。如果有时间的话，尽量去参观花园。这是一个非常宁静的花园。

可以来岛上愉悦地散步，需要半小时或者一小时。亮点绝对是中间的神社，很有丛林般的氛围。棕榈树也很不错，是很棒的特点。如果你在宫崎县，一定要花上一个小时来这里，很值得。

We are arriving in Miyazaki on a cruise ship. Is the port close to the train station? Do you recommend we take the train and then walk around the island or should we take a tour?

Absolutely. Great small little island with unique features of nature surrounding it. I was very pleasantly surprised by it last summer when I visited Miyazaki. Do not forget to walk around the whole island. It's a great walk.

I dont think so. Because it is quite small an Island and the temple occupy quite a part of it.Moreover, I bet the Japanese government wants to protect the landscape and peacefulness of this small little Island.

Is it true that Aoshima is one of Japan's 'cat islands' now?
There are many stories in the news about this but none of the reviews on here mention cats at all?
If anyone has been recently I would be interested to know.

You have the wrong Aoshima Island against the question if the Guardian story is correct. Aoshima Island that you have picked of is the one in Miyazaki prefecture. Been there, it has a shrine and a nice walk but not a lot of cats being a cat lover I would have noted. The Guardian puts the cat island of Aoshima in Ehime prefecture. Put Aoshima Ehime in Google, tap on map then zoom out and the island is in the sea of Japan. Put Miyazaki Aoshima into google maps and pull out and that's the one you have.
Question is does Tripadvisor have anything on the cat island ?. hmmm
