It's like something we built for Tohoku domination!
There is a castle fence in the spacious area,
It was a highlight.

これだけの規模の古代城跡は見応えがあります。
無料のボランティアガイドさんの案内・説明は必須です。
何気なくある窪みや沼地にも歴史を感じる発見を知る事ができます。
「古代水洗トイレ」遺跡については、なぜ？水洗トイレとわかったかの
発掘調査の説明を聞くと「なるほど！」と思いました。
案内していただいたボランティアガイドにお礼申し上げます。

奈良時代から平安時代にかけての城柵官衙跡です。所謂、近世城郭とは全く性質が違うものですので、その点を踏まえておく必要があります。最寄りの歴史資料館で予習してから散策するのが良いかと思います。

歴史好きには楽しめる場所。園内をすべて回ると1時間では足りないかも。

大阪の難波宮跡のような感じで何もない。
歴史背景や当時の建築を勉強した上で、何もない野原に薄目で想像をする必要がある。
近隣住民の憩いの公園としては良い場所だし、ススキなども結構綺麗で散歩にも良いけれど、わざわざ観光に来るような場所でもないように感じるのは否めない。
再現した壁や建物を増やしてそれが程よく朽ちて来るまでを計算して観光しやすくして欲しい。稼げる史跡でないと掘る意味がないと思う。掘って調べて埋めるだけお金を無駄に使うほどの歴史だろうか？
奈良の飛鳥地区みたいに若者経営のカフェなど誘致して史跡に興味なくても、ここから興味を持ち始められる文化スポットになれれば価値として良いかと。
バスの運賃が距離の割にちょっと高すぎる気がする。駅から片道370円。本数は30分おきくらい。
もっと乗降客数が増えれば値下げできて住民の役にも立つ。

再現された水洗トイレがあるが、特に解説もあるわけでもなく、ポツンとあるだけ。歴史に興味があれば近くにある博物館はいくべきだが、時間がなければここはスキップしても構わないと思う

護国神社に行った帰りに寄ってみました。ちょうど、NHKの「ブラタモリ」で放送されたこともあり、多くの人が訪れていました

The nice lady at the railway station tourist information recommended this together with the nearby shrine and the Tsuchizaki Port museum. I was given excellent directions for the bus but ignored them and arrived here after a long, hot and sweaty walk and after calling at the nearby shrine
I called at the office to purchase a ticket, not required, and pick up a leaflet but none was available so I started to explore the sight. After about five minutes a lady approached me carrying a leaflet in English, she was in the office when I arrived and had gone down the road across to the museum to collect the leaflet. She must have been in her 70s but had the energy of someone half her age, she accompanied me around the sight explaining everything we communicated with sign language and charades and laughter.
She showed me the way to the museum, the Japanese build museums near the relevant sights unlike other countries who tend to centralise everything and hide everything in the vaults of large edifices, so the museum had everything relevant to my visit.
After 90 minutes in her company it was time to leave, she showed me the way to the bus stop, which was outside the museum gate, ensured the bus driver new where I was going next and waved me on my way.
The day contiued in a similar vein.
