Interesting 'A' shape 15 storey building with an observation deck on level 13. The tourist information area is on the GF where we entered, plenty of literature displayed but no attendants, so we took some literature in English. Plenty of variety amid the stallholders in this area and purchased a few mementoes, my wife falling in love with a preloved table runner that was superb quality but later necessitated the purchase of an additional case to accommodate. Not much activities on F2 so took the lift to F10 hoping to enjoy a snack before venturing to the observation deck. Unfortunately, the overpowering smell of fish from the kitchen area deterred us and we decided to head elsewhere. The building is described as a "multi-use structure introducing Aomori's local food and handicraft products and the prefecture's many tourist attractions" it doesn't live up to this description.

A triangular building facing Aomori Port. It takes about 10 minutes from Aomori Station on foot. As it is a tourist product museum, Aomori products are exhibited and sold.

For a tourist attraction, you would think more care would be implemented to attract more visitors. I am not talking major, simple painting and flooring. The observation floor looked tired and admission was not worth the price.

At Aomori Port, there was a large, very eye-catching triangular building. This was Aomori Prefectural Tourist and Products Center ASPAM. The exterior design is said to be shaped like the "A" of "AOMORI."
Entering the building, there were many Aomori souvenirs on the first floor. There was a wide variety of apple-related products, as well as a large selection of local Aomori sake. There was an observation deck on the top floor, the 13th floor, for which there was a fee. From this observation deck, which is 51m above ground, you could see 360 degrees of Aomori city and the port. If the weather was good, you could apparently also see the Hakkoda mountains.

When I was shopping on the other side of the Aomori Bay Bridge, I saw a triangular building in the distance. I was curious what it was for?
Later I learned that this is the Aomori Prefecture Tourism and Products Center ASPAM. It is an equilateral triangle building shaped with the initial letter A of Aomori AOMORI. The duty-free shop "aspam Products" on the ground floor offers a variety of Aomori specialties, including apple pie, Apple cookies, apple juice, local wines, etc., the souvenirs here are cheaper than A Factory, and the apple pie is delicious!
In addition, the experience area on the second floor has a viewing area where you can watch the wonderful videos of the Nebuta Matsuri with 3D panoramic digital images, and there is also an area for selling traditional handicrafts. The observation deck on the 13th floor is 51 meters above the ground, offering a 360-degree bird's-eye view of Aomori City's streetscape, port, dusk and night views. If you are traveling to Aomori, I personally think it is a must-see.

一階のお土産物屋さんでスイーツやお菓子を中心に青森土産を購入しました。購入したスイーツを既にいくつか食しましたがどれも美味しかったです。田酒などの青森の有名な地酒もこちらで購入したかったのですが、日本酒の品揃えは豊富では無かった印象です。駐車場は一階入口すぐの場所にありました。店舗での購入金額により駐車料金が無料になる時間が決まります。私は3000円ほどお土産を購入したのですが駐車場が２時間無料になりました。

遠くからも目立つ外観です。ピラミッドのようにも見えますが、上の方は平べったい建物です。観光の名産品のお店がいくつもあって、お土産選びはここだけで十分ですね。

2D・3Dシアターは一見の価値ありです！
青森の四季の映像と四大祭の大迫力の映像が楽しめます。
祭りの時期を外しても疑似体験ができて本当に良かったです。
また展望塔からは八甲田山がよく見えます。
想像以上に近かったです。
靄がなければ岩木山も見えるようです。
