När du knallar runt i centrum, så kika till denna staty. Det som är exotiskt med Kazakstan är blandningen av ryskt och kazakiskt. Här har du alltså en staty som klingar väldigt asiatiskt, och denna "hjälte" står i kontrast till militärerna i parken och dylika ryska monument.

If you happen to be strolling by it is an interesting monument with a nice garden, however unless you have a particular interest it is not really worthwhile making a special trip to see it.

Frankly speaking I love this style. It is pathetic, monumental and shows the person as a true hero.
Interesting is that in Kazachstan there's lot of Kazach heros monument but no Russian.

отличная достопримечательность, одно из лучших мест старого центра особенно летом, алматинцы любили там гулять рядом гастроном "Россия" ниже был магазин "Казахстан" за памятником красовались"Три Богатыря"

Interesting monument. There is nice garden right behind it. I really loved walking in that area.
Should say, if you going to see just this monument you could potentially spend a lot of time to get there, but if you just wondering around you should definitely check it out. But the way there is a Dostyk plaza nearby.

By chance saw this monument while walking in beautiful city Almaty. A monument of a Kazakh poet. Worth to see but no special plan for it necessary.

Жамбыл сидит, расставив ноги, и по памятнику удобно лазить детишкам. Они любят сидеть у него на коленях - и в итоге бронза в этих местах вытерлась и сверкает. Очень символично!

It seems to be lost among the higher buildings of the business part of Almaty. The figure of a Kazakh poet (his poetic legacy as of Soviet period is contested by people arguing that his poemts were written by the Soviet ideologists!) gives a special flaire to the place.
