A precious and unexpected help

A huge thanks to John Kenga who helped us with generosity, altruism, positivity and professionalism to get out of a problem we had with another operator. I met John at Nairobi Airport, where I was waiting for my Guide who was not arriving... John’s help was decisive in contacting our tour operator and helping us find a solution! I can’t wait to organize the next Safari with Mamasavana! If this is the professionalism he has shown towards something that did not directly concern him imagine how carefully he will treat his customers.

Cannot recommend enough - a wonderful way to explore Tanzania

I have traveled with Mamasavana around Tanzania in August 2024 covering the main national parks and highly recommend them as a trustworthy and experienced tour company that can draft the itinerary in a flexible way according to any demands. The trip was well planed and guided by Mustapher Mwanga, the best safari guide who will spot the lions 5 minutes before you take your camera, find the right angle for taking great photos and sincerely shares an interest in wildlife. It is a wonderful way to explore Tanzania and I cannot recommend Mustapher enough!

Amazing Trip

Just recently in October I had a 24 day tour provided by Perfect Wilderness Tours and Safaris based in Kenya and Mama Savana based in Tanzania. I spent 11 days in Kenya and 5 days in Tanzania and 5 days in Zanzibar. I would like to thank my Kenyan guide Chris, my Tanzanian guide Mustapher as well my guide in Zanzibar Biden and my driver Juma for their professionalism and friendliness. In Tanzania we visited Serengeti, crater Ngorongoro, lake Manyanara, Tarangire park. We were able to see amazing wild animals like: lions, leopards, wildebeests, zebras, pink flamingos, different types of gazelles,baboons, giraffes and many other wild animals who populate these parks. I would like to thank all my guides and my driver for their professionalism and their hospitality as well to praise a hospitality of Kenyan, Tanzanian and people in Zanzibar.

Amazing experience

We chose Mama Savana by all the good reviews here in safaribookings.com and we did the correct choice! From the very beginning we spoke with Alex over Whatsapp, very fast replies and he helped us with everything and we did many changes in the plan so that it fit our budget and our requirements. We did 7 days safaris including Masai mara,Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Amboseli park and we had amazing time! Everything went very smooth, form the pick up in the airport until the end,we had three different guides and we loved especially Hasan-Guide in Tanzania as he knew lot of things and he always found hidden animals around ;) the campings we stayed were very nice and the food as well. We can recommend this safari 100% for everyone as they are very profesional and the guides are really passionate about animals

Amazing Experience

We took a 14 day customized tour of Tanzania and Kenya. The experience was unbelievable. Starting from the customization of the trip through Alex, to visiting the parks and spending time with the tour guides, to the accommodations etc - it was surreal. Alex is an excellent owner and he communicated with us from day 1 when I first reached out to them thinking about the tour. He would communicate via WhatsApp and/or Email and customized the tour based on our interests. He even came to meet us personally on the first day. The accommodations set by him were breathtaking - luxurious tents and lodges in the middle of the desert, great food, to waking up to seeing the animals in our backyard. The actual tours were even better and magnificent - we had Hassan in Tanzania who was very polite and knowledgable. Knew the parks and areas very well and was able to show us all the animals. We had Sammy Brio in Kenya who was just as good. The overall experience was just amazing. Definitely one of our best vacations yet. Would highly highly recommend Alex and the team of Mama Savana.

Great honeymoon safari with Mama Savana

Our 5-day honeymoon tour in Tanzania was very well planned and executed. All the lodges and the tour were in accordance with the offer, and we actually got a complimentary upgrade of one of camps which was a great surprise. Everything was greatly taken care of, from the process of the reservation until the last moment of safari. Alex has been super responsive via whatsapp and we were amazed that during our trip he has been contacting lodges himself to check all the details of our stay, our lunch packages etc. But the greatest part of safari was our guide Eli who took the best care of us. He was very communicative, spoke perfect English, spotted all the animals instantly, made us feel safe and taken care of. And he also explained to us the complicated life on savanna. It was a great experience the whole safari and we are thankful to Mama Savana to make it so special.

Eli, our guide, is Amazing

We did a safari of Kenya and Tanzania booked with another company. We were lucky enough that Mama Savana are used by this company in Tanzania. We had Eli (Elitwaza) as our driver/guide. He is fantastic and we quickly made friends with him. We enjoyed his company and he is a very knowledgeable guide. We were so sad when we had to leave him at the Kenyan border.

Esperienza Indimenticabile

A dir poco fantastico! Il nostro Safari ci ha permesso di vedere diversi parchi e soprattutto 4/5 dei big five. Non sarebbe mai stato possibile senza l’aiuto della nostra guida Peter che ci ha indicato anche gli animali più nascosti e si è sempre mostrato gentile e paziente. Anche di fronte al maltempo e alla gomma bucata non ha perso l’entusiasmo e la positività con cui ci ha accompagnato per tutti i 6 giorni del Safari. Un ringraziamento speciale va anche a John che oltre ad aver organizzato tutto alla perfezione ci ha anche sorpreso con una meravigliosa torta nella savana per festeggiare il compleanno del mio compagno!

Amazing experience

Alex answered all my questions even during the weekends. He organized everything according to our needs. There was only one hotel change in Arusha but that did not affect our experience. The driver Allen was awesome going above and beyond is duty. Can’t wait to go back for another safari.
