Yesterday afternoon we climbed the Komtar, a Georgetown skyscraper. On the 68th floor there is a terrace from which you can admire the panorama at three hundred and sixty degrees. At one point on the terrace there is a circular widening where you can walk on the glass. Looking down it seems to walk in the void. This experience is not recommended for those who suffer from dizziness.

Pretty cool! I went at sunset. Not too busy at all. There are different combination tickets. I went with the Rainbow Skywalk and Observatory Deck which appeared to be the most popular. Very well organised with staff directing you. You start at the Observatory Deck at Level 65 which also features a glass walkway. Pretty cool! You can watch the world go by below. Then you go to Level 68, on the rooftop of Komtar tower. The Rainbow Skywalk offers visitors the thrilling experience of walking on air high above sea level. I was pretty scared so only walked part of it. You must remove footwear and any big items. The Observatory Deck is enclosed but Level 68 is open. Not too windy. I enjoyed it. Expect the usual souvenirs, gift shops, eateries, entertainment, staff taking 'professional photographs' that you can purchase plus more. Very relaxing. Don't expect views as if you were on the Empire State Building in New York or the Tokyo Skytree in Japan, but this was nice and relaxing as there were not so many people. Good overview of Penang and you learn as well. There is some information about the city. When you go up, you don't really feel it in the lift. Not too scary. If you are scared of heights, avoid the glass walkway.

This is the roof top located at the top of the tallest tower in Georgetown. In the tower you have plenty of other possibilities of activities a bit off also.
The ticket is a bit expensive but it is nice we have a nice roof top with its glass bridge and a nice terrace area.
The view of the city is part of Penang is taken.

Signposting at The Top building is at best abysmal but once you've found your way and purchased your ticket, the views are wonderful. You can spend as long as you like up there so I enjoyed the sunset and watching Georgetown light up (accompanied by a beer which was not extortionate). I had no inclination to visit any of the other attractions in the building.

This building has a history of being the tallest building in the world in its early days . Today it is mostly an empty shell with not a lot to offer. The building has a few attractions for kids , like a dinosaur world and other amusements. There is no signage on getting to the skywalk or how to buy tickets , we ran through a maze of floors Being redirected left right and centre . When we finally found the entrance we were told ticket office was a floor below another trip back down and up. Finally we got through security screen then ushered into lift which stoped halfway up you then get ushered into a dark room and they play a short movie about the building and the screen rolls back to reveal the view of Georgetown . Would have been spectator 50 years ago . You get about a minuet to look and the screen shuts (no more view for you ) you are then ushered out to wander and look at the view and stand on glass deck which was an ok thing to do. Next you are usher into another elevator and taken to top floor for the rainbow skywalk . This area was very tired and run down , but had an awesome view. We went out on the glass ledge and was an experience looking at the world below our feet and wondering if the floor would give way and we would fall to our death . Obviously we lived . We sat and had a cold drink and small meal in the restaurant which was pleasant as the view was spectacular. It was an experience but if you are low on patience maybe give it a miss you really need a sense of humour to get you through this .

A great idea is to build a glass tongue with a glass floor at the very top of the tallest building. When you take the first step onto the glass, it takes your breath away. And the most interesting thing is that it captivates every time you step on a glass floor at a height. I tried it on myself. I have been to similar attractions around the world more than once. And here the sides are not super high and there is sky above your head, not a ceiling. It is unnatural for a person to be in the air without tangible support. Only my five-year-old son had completely different emotions. He was happy and had nothing to fear!

Not very crowded but fairly costly. View from the top was great. There is a portion where you will be allowed to stand on glass at the top and get your picture taken. recommended if you are in the area.

Well, being a tourist, this the perfect place to do the tourist thing lol. Superb view of the whole island. Facilities are well maintained. Love the short intro, quite impressed. No need to take photo behind the glass at the observatory, as you can take them at the top without the glass and glare. As far as I know, there seems to be no time limit up there, so you can take your own sweet time and wait for the crowd to thin and get nice shot during sunset or night time.

A must visit , well worth your money to go there. Opens at night also and pretty decent views from top, good crowd control.

Amazing experience from the top. And i found out that i was actually gayat 😅
When i went there, it’s just open for public (after PKP).
They only open for observatory deck ( level 65). And we was lucky, that day just only open for skywalk level (level 68).
So, nothing much to explore.
