We booked Nazlina on a little short notice, back in April. Thankfully she was great at responding to our email and was speedy enough to book us in. We met with a small group nearby our Georgetown hotel for a market your, we smelt and enjoyed little tasters from the market before stopping for a traditional breakfast - a great touch to stave off he hunger pangs.
We took an Uber to her house where she had cooking stations set up in the garden. We cooked a plethora of delicious dishes. None of which I could ever receeate despite her handy recipes she emailed out.
A very fun morning and a very lovely lady - very glad we chose her.

Nazlina acted as both guide and teacher during a morning in George Town. As a guide, the morning stared with her leading us through two of the food markets in the historic area of George town. The local produce was discussed and she explained the processed employed by a number of the street food vendors.
As a teacher, she then showed us how to cook three Malasian dishes in a kitchen of hers set up for this purpose, with most of the food preperation and cooking being done by us using food purchased earlier in the morning in the markets. The morning was rounded off by eating the results for lunch.

Nazlina is the best option to experience Malay cuisine with a kind, friendly, and passionate woman. Fresh and local ingredients from the market. In her kitchen, everything is easy and fun. It feels like cooking with a friend. Also, we couldn't go at the reserved time due to a problem, and she attended us in the afternoon. It was wonderful. Thank you very much, Nazlina. When we return to Spain, I plan to put everything into practice.

We had an amazing time with Nazlina. Morning was so wonderful starting with coffee and Malay breakfast then shopping at the market with a lot of explanations about the food, spices, herbs and finally the cooking lesson. We did three dishes, with a lot of explanations. Nazlina is so interesting and patient. We learned a lot not just about cooking but about Malaysia in general and finally the food was so delicious !!
Thanks a lot for everything Nazlina ! I recommend to test it for every traveller’s who come to Penang.

Nazlina’s cooking class was just what our group of friends was looking for in a unique Penang experience. Her wet market tour was full of local information we’d never get going to markets on our own. Her outdoor kitchen space is well equipped and perfect for a group. Nazlina is a relaxed instructor and she was happy to answer any of our culinary and cultural questions. And the food we made and ate together was some of the best flavors I tasted during my whole stay in Penang.

Excellent cooking class and interesting market tour! Nazlina knows her way around very well and is happy to explain a lot. 5/5 would do again and already recommended her to other travelers going to penang.

Best cooking class in Penang! We walked through the markets, had the best dosa, fresh fruits doughnut & kopi for breakfast. We made delicious beef rendang, nasi lemuni with sambal, nasi lemak, and four angle beans salad. We learned how to cook with Ginger Flower - something I've never heard of before! Apart from sharpening my cooking skills, I learned so many different things that are uniquely from Malaysia & Penang. I was even inspired to take my cooking skills further after consulting with Nazlina and hearing her story. She is an absolutely inspiration as a woman enterperuner. Definitely a unique experience in Penang...I highly recommend!

Very nice and well aranged cooking lesson. The teachers are friendly, skilled and very good food!! Also one year after having been there, I asked for the recipes which I recieved immediately, with a kind reply.

A superb introduction to Malaysian cookery! Nazlina was an amazing host and teacher sharing her enthusiasm and skills. After a tour of the wet markets, we had plenty of hands on opportunities to develop our culinary skills and knowledge. We would highly recommend this small class with Nazlina!

We started with a first taste: breakfast with bananapancakes. After that Nazlima took us to the market. We bought our own vegetables, fish and meat. We will never forget how to stamp cocos into chocolate.. for the rendang. Everything was well taken care of.
