每一次参观，最吸引我的都是导游的解说。这次有幸听到 Wei Li （音）小姐的解说，她把张弼士的故事徐徐道来，能看出对这间故居的许多细节都了如指掌。

由于下榻这家豪宅改的精品旅馆，就没有买票进来参观了。入住客人都送一张导览卷，每日有两梯次的导览参观，只可惜行程匆促都错过了。

首先，入场费有点贵，每人18马币，我原以为我们能在故居里自由走动，但不是，我们必须跟团。我对女导游的介绍说明没有太多兴趣，所以旅行一开始我就感到非常无聊，但是你只能在大厅里听她讲20分钟。实际上，对房子室面有加工过，所以对它的正面有一点破坏，但是我猜想这是必须的，而且过后会更漂亮。室内还可以，但是很多地方看不了或不对外展示。很多地方都关闭了，因为归酒店所有，我建议你们去离此参观几百米的侨生博物馆，同样的价格，但是有很多东西可以看。

We are sorry to hear that the tour was regrettably not enjoyable for you. While many guests love the information and anecdotes shared by our guides, we understand that others do prefer to experience the mansion at their leisure – though this is of course limited as we try and preserve the privacy of our hotel guests. As we would like for everyone to have a wonderful experience visiting us, we hope that you can perhaps come back and try Indigo, or have a drink at our bar and listen to the guzheng performance (weekend evenings) or even come and stay with us in the future.

要注意开放时间，购票后会有解说员一一带领大家介绍房子。整体讲解完后，可以自己重新逛一遍。屋内开放的区域不多，但可仔细观察设计。

我们的导游Sally非常知识渊博，另外她的谈吐妙趣无穷。这座故居经过了完整的修复，而且展示的是故居原始的衣物、摄影作品和陶器。如果你到槟城旅行的话，一定要把这里列到你的旅游清单里。

Would be a good idea to book in advance since it would avoid waiting in line. You won't be disappointed since it is well worth a visit with an excellent guide. Or, as another person has said, you could always wander in for lunch or a drink at the bar without paying for the tour.

Is it possible to just pop in to the Hotel, without a guided tour, take some pics?
Hi there,
Besides our tour, we do welcome guests who are patronising our bar or our restaurant, Indigo. Our bar is open daily from 12 noon, and Indigo is open for lunch and dinner. Reservations can be made via our website.
We highly value the privacy of guests staying within our boutique hotel, thus there are areas restricted to guests who are on not staying with us.
Due to the high number of visitors who visit every day, our security does have to be cautious about entry in order to protect/preserve the heritage mansion, and the privacy of our hotel guests.
