Right in the centre of city close by the river, this hotel was excellent for us, from the rooms, amenities, breakfast, this hotel I would stay at again. Also great staff who are all very friendly

Kuching waterfront by night is relaxing and don't forget to wait for the sound & light show at 8.30pm.
Grab an IG ice-cream which is located opposite the bridge before the show. A nice palm sugar flavour.

Kuching has become a place of rampant gangsterism, with commoners frequently coming under their threats due to their erratic driving behaviors. Tourists were known to be bashed, and their cars (those driving) were stopped by gangsters in the middle of the road. It is increasingly unsafe to come here.

Well, it has the advantage of enjoying a quiet and calm walk along the river, but as someone who was expecting the throng of food stalls, it's a pity I didn't enjoy it. So we lost one star. Several river cruise ships depart at 5:30 p.m. in the evening, so board them to enjoy the Kuching River at sunset.

I was visiting Kuching, Sarawak, MALAYSIA (Borneo Island) last Saturday, 29th of June, 2024. .This was the scenary at the early sunrise beside the famous River Sarawak. There were many joggers and families walking, running happily along the river bank.

Oh mom! But... have the people who review this 4 star hotel ever seen anything better? Well... I only put up with staying one night because it was too late to leave. The hotel is traditional, my superior room overlooking the bay, old windows, damp and smelly room, as well as the sheets. Old bathroom and very sad breakfast room. I literally ran away.

I was visiting Kuching, Sarawak, MALAYSIA (Borneo Island) early in December 2023. And there was this tallest flag pole in the country recently constructed and completed. Ready for official opening in the eve of the New Year 2024. Wonderful scene. Great activities along the waterfront (Sarawak River). Lots of local foods and western foods as well. Must visit!

This place is probably best to visit during the cooling evening hours. The Plaza Merdeka mall is nearby in case you want to get some aircon and food.

Lots of energy and smiling faces along the waterfront. The place especially comes alive in the evenings, with food stalls, street entertainers, lighted buildings, and more. The place to stroll in the evening. The only downside is that you'll have trouble finding a place serving beer unless you head one or two streets inland from the river.
