We went to your spa last Sunday Jan. 5 2025 at 4pm for a massage and an additional body scrub since the scrubber will be available at 715 the staff name Rain offered us a package that alloed a 12-hour stay and mentioned that it included a body scrub. Wr decided to twke the package becaise Rain did not inform us that the massage would be removed. Our understanding was clear, we wanted an additional body scrub which meant we still expected to receive a massage . After the scrub , we went to the massage counter , only to find out that we we have no longer had a massage included in the package . This was so dissapointing as it was clear from the beginning that we wanted both services. We brought up the issue at the receptio. there were 3 ldy staff including the semi chubby girl who were not accomodating at all . None of them apologized for the confusion and instead they blamed us saying it was not Rain’s fault. Is this right way to handle a situation like this?
Hoping that the Admin will know about this. Thank you

To be honest, I think some of the reviews here are a bit unfair because I have been at Lasema Spa HUNDREDS of times even before they built this new building and they were still situated by the Golf Course in Makati with only 2 floors almost a decade ago. So if you are gonna rely on a review, you should go and read this instead because obviously, some of the reviewers here are first timers going to a public spa
#1 - Noise - If you don't like a spa where there are a lot of people who talk, DO NOT GO HERE from Fridays to Sundays because obviously a lot of people come to the Spa on weekends because that's the only available time they have. The whole place will obviously tend to get full, even if the management try to manage the noise because some people generally just have lack of awareness of their voice tonality and they talk like they're in the palengke. DO NOT BLAME this to Lasema because when Lasema wasn't maintstream yet, we as regular comers in the Spa naturally enjoy the quietness and zen-ness of the Spa. Only when Lasema became mainstream that some people who's never been in a Spa like this open their mouths like they have no awareness of the privacy and space of other people. That being said, EXPECT that you will not have a bed to sleep on and you have to sleep on the floor. IF you don't want unavailable beds, you have to schedule your visit on Mondays to Thursdays night time because there's a lot less people who come to Lasema
#2 - Food - If you think that the food in the Spa is expensive, you should eat before you come in the Spa, and feel free to go out and dress back to your regular clothes, go out of the building, get a taxi, and go to fast food or restaurant of your choice. Everytime I come to Lasema I silently mentally compute how much their cost everyday to change the water of the wet area, clean the whole facilities, run the electricity, pay the people who maintains it, pay the land they bought to build the building, pay the cost of the build of the building, etc. To be honest, there's a turo turo outside of the Spa that sells banana cue so if you don't want to spend money, you can just buy a buko and a banana cue or maruya outside. Girl you are at a Spa, it's essentially a treat for yourself. So if you don't have extra money to pay for food, do not blame it on the Management because honestly I think the Management is doing their best to accommodate everyone who comes in their space and they're trying to also just have a decent living selling food and doing their best not to increase their prices even after MANY YEARS of THEIR ENTRANCE AND FOOD PRICE STILL STAYS THE SAME
#3 - No Designated Sleeping Areas - Like I mentioned above, remember that this is a public spa, all 12-hour entry people will have the same treatment, it's a first come first serve basis for all the beds. If your parents are seniors, do not bring them in a public spa because they will have to adjust to other people going around this spa. It's bustling on weekends and if you have senior parents they should go to a private spa. Be sensitive also to their needs
#4 - SMALL TOWELS - This is a Korean Spa and at least if you have seen Korean teledramas, you should see there they have small towels. You have to adjust your expectations that Koreans have different standards than Filipinos and that's why if you need a big towel and don't want to pay extra for the towel, you should bring your own towel. In Decathlon there is a big big microfiber towel and it's lightweight for only 800 pesos so I think it's best to bring your own towel. Lasema wants to bring you an AUTHENTIC Korean spa experience, they have Korean people regulars who go in there and you should adjust your expectations when you are signing up for an authentic experience
So overall, whenever I am in Manila, Lasema is my FIRST GO TO CHECK-IN once I arrive from the NAIA airport. I'm already used to the system of Lasema because I have been a regular since 2006 and I know how this Spa works. I personally don't have bad reviews for Lasema I actually have more comments on the newbies that come in the Spa who doesn't have good etiquette when they get in Lasema
ALSO... please give people tips when you ask them for something. It makes their day brighter

Dear La Sema Spa Makati,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding a recent experience at your establishment.
I visited the New La Sema Spa Makati this day around 9:41 am with high expectations for a pleasant and relaxing time. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory due to a significant hygiene issue. Despite the friendly staff and seemingly good food, I encountered two cockroaches on my food tray. This incident was utterly revolting and unacceptable, given the importance of maintaining high hygiene standards.
As someone who is very keen on cleanliness, this experience completely ruined my appetite and any chance of relaxation. I was so put off that I couldn't stay for the rest of my allotted time and had to leave the building immediately.
I believe this matter needs urgent attention to prevent future occurrences and to maintain the reputation of your establishment. I kindly request a thorough investigation and appropriate action to address this serious issue.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.
Sincerely,
CC

Fridays may be the wrong day to go since there were very many loud groups & loud couples visiting. This is a big 4-story spa and females & males are separated on the 2nd floor locker rooms & jacuzzis/naked pools; the rest of the floors are co-ed. The sleeping kilns are of no use, since it is located right in front of their dining area where it sounds like a high school cafeteria. There are signs to keep quiet, but none of their patrons cared - and none of the staff enforced it. So it was loud AF in most areas.
The massage therapists are very strong - they can really do body stretches & do pseudo-chiropractic adjustments. Had quite a few cracks! Massage rooms are for 2 patrons at a time, not sure if there are private rooms.
Ended up not using all of my 12-hour access, instead, left after 5 hours due to the loud patrons roaming the facility and taking photos & videos. Had a chance to check out all the floors, had a 60 minute massage, had a snack, got a very nicely done gel pedicure, sit in about 5-6 of the heated kilns, plus the infrared room + the ice cave, hung out in the pool/jacuzzi area. The quietest areas were the female sleeping room on the 2nd floor (next to the nail salon) & the shower/pool area… seems like most guests were not comfortable being fully naked, so they didn’t go into the pools (yay, me!). I would be hesitant to return since it is not as relaxing, if only the patrons were not so giddy & loud, it would be a better place and rank closer to a true jimjilbang experience. So —- go during the weekdays when there are hopefully less people trying a jimjilbang for the 1st time. At least it is open 24 hours —- hopefully, they’ll start enforcing quiet reminders to their patrons.

The massage, kilns and all amenities are really great. I think they should provide additional quiet sleeping areas only for those who avail the 12 hour package. My parents were senior citizens and needed to sleep in the karaoke room.

I was honestly worried a while ago, going to New La Sema and bringing a friend with me. The bad reviews really got to me! And I was preparing myself for the bad customer service and the dirty facilities. I even brought my own big towel just in case!
But I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was very nice and helpful. The areas were clean enough. My massage was awesome. (Thanks Ate Kim!) The food wasn't as expensive as I thought. Maybe around P150 and below. I'm definitely coming back again! But just in case I got lucky, here are the conditions when we visited and some things to prepare you:
1.) We went on a wednesday at around 8pm and got the La Sema Package. That's valid for 12 hrs. You can actually sleep overnight. Maybe it's better to go on a weekday, coz there weren't a lot of people.
2.) The massage we got was the swedish massage. I think this experience really depends on your masseuse. But mine was great!
3.) You gotta be fully naked going into the pools. Don't worry, the genders are segregated. If you're uncomfy with this, it might surprise you. But if everyone's naked anyway, it doesn't feel as awkward. They also have soaps/shampoos available. The towels are small, but I don't mind them. I didnt even use the big towel I brought.
4.) The stairway to the hot kilns and other amenities is kinda hidden in the locker room. Just ask the staff there how to get to the other areas. I was about to go out. 😂 (you wear the shirt and shorts they provide to go to the other amenities)
5.) The kilns were nice. Make sure to test them all out! Some are better than others.
6.) You use your locker key number to purchase food inside so that it's not a hassle to carry a wallet
We didn't use the ktv, viewing room and gym. Maybe we'll try them next time! Overall, it was a good experience!

Place was easy to find. There were many amenities and the price is just right for me. We were both new to this and the people at the counter were unapproachable and not helpful at all. Always on their phone.
Fortunately, the staff inside were better.
We got the 12 hour stay. Food was a bit expensive and the price for karaoke was a bit much since they only had a huge room.
Experience was okay most of the time... expect for those times that some other customers were too loud and annoying (they were not Filipinos, but that can't be helped).
The place is not for me though, I could not handle temperatures above 40 degrees well, but the hot pools were relaxing.
The fitness equipment were so ancient, but some still work.

Something new. I see a lot of negative comments but so far we didn't encounter any problems with them. The place is good, very relaxing. Would recommend to someone who would like to try something new.

Poor customer service. Not worth it. The cashier named Rachel charged us for overtime worth 400php even though we arrived at the lobby on time for check out but due to their unorganized process, we still lined up and waited for our turn which made us tagged as ‘overtime’ the guard on duty even testified that we waited for our turn but the cashier still charged us. She even chitchat first before she accommodated us which was additional minutes count I assume. I think this is their current modus to increase their sales. Such a greedy business, do not patronize. Please also take note, the massage started few minutes late and ended on time but we did not complain. Loyal customer here since pre pandemic, such a shame. Will never visit again.

We definitely enjoyed our stay. It was difficult to choose between their options because we wanted to do the jacuzzi, massage, and all the saunas but we don't intend to stay for more than 6hrs.
The saunas or hot caves (not really sure what they are called) are so relaxing. It's a fun activity to do with friends. We went there for a double date and we definitely had fun.
For the hot tub or jacuzzi, just like with other spas, you need to go on with your birthday suit, so if you're not into that, I suggest you skip this part of the spa.
With the massage, make sure you tell them the pressure, and you want to skip any part of your body coz they'll definitely go deep.
To get your total Korean experience, don't forget to put on your lamb/sheep towels on, matchy shirts, and shorts plus eat your favorite K-food inside the spa.

Are the lockers large enough to fit a carry on luggage, or can you store for us?
撰写日期:2019年1月20日
A small backpack can fit but not a trolley hand carry lugagge. Otherwise you can leave it in their reception area, where they have cctv camera and the recptionist to look after your belongings.

You can alight at Gil Puyat (Lrt) terminal. From there you can take a bus bound for Ayala and alight at Tropical hut.
Cross the street going to Columns Cond / Alphaland Makati Place. Walk along Malugay and on the left is Makati Golf Club before Ara Korean Restaurant.
Go inside Makati Gilf Club and tell the guard you're going to Lasema.
Alternatively you can take uber/grab from Gil Puyat (Lrt) terminal and book the destination Ara Korean Restaurant as if you enter Lasema Jjim Jil Bang the drop off will be on the other side of the street. Hope this helps. ☺️

Hi. Does Lasema has a room for couple to have an overnight after sauna? And will the couple need to be separated at the sauna room?
撰写日期:2016年1月17日
There's no room for couple. Sauna for male and female are separated. There's a big room though for socialization among genders.
