Очень хорошо отнеслись в лавке- денег совсем не было на покупки, честно сказал, подарили хорошие подарки. В храме хорошо, попал, когда народу почти не было, помолился

Christ in the midst of us is and will be! My lowest bow and thanks to Mother Innocent and Mother Makaria for the warm welcome at the Epiphany-Anastasia Monastery, for the sister nun who greeted us like family and gave us gifts: books and icons. Thank God for getting to know you through these books - the writings of Mother Innocent. Thank God that there are such people: Mother Innocent and Mother Schiegumian Makarius. For you are and always will be.

Friday. Evening. Soon it will begin to darken and soon the Monastery will close for the night. The sun's already gone.
A small, rather cramped, but stunningly well-maintained area (as we observed on our trip through the Monasteries, care in landscaping is generally inherent in female abode; in male abode everything is simpler). A small cathedral. There are no such powerful three-dimensional churches here at all, such as in the Kazan monastery of the Supreme Volochka.
Almost deserted. There's an evening service at the cathedral. Photography in the temple is not blessed, so there are no photographs of interiors, although some time in the temple
We stood, listened to the service, applied ourselves to the icon.
Then we took a little walk around the grounds. Quiet. Noble. Take it easy.

Unfortunately, the impression of visiting a holy place is disgraceful. Usually, the sisters in the temple are kinder to the shop-goers and their needs: I was told off for a fictitious reason: I asked where I could leave the donations, I heard what I was serving wrong, I had to do it discreetly; also, I find myself writing a note of rest wrong, and even the words "in your temple, submit simple notes, but we have for 500 and 1000" to hear from the sister to everyone in line was unexpected. Anyway, bad luck on this visit.

Huge thanks to the Innocent Hegumen and the sisters of the convent for their hard work, daily prayers for us sinners! Thank you for your kind deeds. A very bright, kind and friendly sister in the convent's church shop took notes, explained everything. Holy place!

A wonderful place imbued with history, Christian faith, good and light. I was there with my grandson of 13 on August 9. A very friendly sister in the church shop took notes, explained everything. I express my gratitude to the Innocent Hegumen and all the sisters of the monastery for their work, daily prayers for us sinners and for the entire Christian world. Thank God!!!

Not only by the name, but also by the appearance and interior decoration, by the stateliness of the grounds, courtyard and garden, by the purity and decoration of all spaces, it is felt that the Epiphany-Anastasius Monastery is a female one (although until the mid-19th century it was male). Everything is supported here by faith, hardworking hands, diligence and prayers of the Inokin under the guidance of the abbot – the Hegumenya of Innocentia (who celebrated her 70th birthday on July 3, 2024 – many and good summers!). The uniqueness of the abode was, of course, given by the miracle-working icon of the Mother of God, the guardian of Kostroma land and the family icon of the House of Romanov. From 1991 until autumn 2023, the relic was kept in a separate gilded kiota of the Cathedral of the Epiphany, where I had the opportunity to pray to the Holy Virgin on my first arrival in Kostroma in spring 2021. Now the main shrine has been transferred to the recreated Cathedral of the Epiphany of the Kostroma Kremlin, which does not diminish the significance of the praying place. Among the relics of the monastery on Simanovsky Street: Smolensk fresco icon (in the closed church of Smolensk); holy relics of St. Nikita, disciple of Sergius of Radonezh and founder of the monastery; holy relics of St. Timon – associate of Seraphim Sarovsky; cobbler cross and cobbler warehouse. Also located on the territory of the monastery are the theological seminary and residence of Metropolitan Kostroma and Nerecht Ferapont

Богоявленско-Анастасиин женский монастырь был основан преподобным Никитой –учеником преподобного Сергия Радонежского в 1464 году. Богоявленский собор –самое древнее каменное сооружение Костромы (1565 год постройки), лег в основу вновь отстроенного в середине 19 века собора. В 16-м веке к монастырю был приписан Анастасиин женский монастырь, основанный Анастасией - дочерью Дмитрия Донского. Главной святыней монастыря является чудотворная Феодоровская икона Богоматери, которая была написана около 1239 года. По преданию, в Кострому эта икона была принесена Феодором Стратилатом. Икона неоднократно оставалась невредимой при страшных пожарах и вражеских нашествиях. В 2002 году была установлена скульптура святому великомученику 4 века Феодору Стратилату –покровителю христианского воинства.
