卡斯特地貌的岩洞，全程大概45分钟游览的时间，在桂林市区，里面有演出，不错，推荐游览，银子岩和芦笛岩二选一，门票价格建议通过网上预订

喀斯特地貌的代表，非常漂亮的灯光，与钟乳石交相辉映，是桂林最大的溶洞。里面可以坐船，冬暖夏凉。外面有小火车坐，孩子超爱

相比七星岩，个人更推荐参观芦笛岩，甫买票后，随着解说员进入岩洞，大概六十分钟的参观，令人叹为观止。瑰丽的钟乳石配上灯光和解说员的敍述，活灵活现的景象在眼中浮现，美不胜收。

到这里不得不感叹大自然的神奇，银子岩溶洞是典型的喀斯特地貌，贯穿十二座山峰，属层楼式溶洞，洞内汇集了不同地质年代发育生长的钟乳石，晶莹剔透，洁白无瑕，宛如夜空的银河倾斜而下，闪烁出像银子、似钻石的光芒。

从山下3号巴士下车后的售票处，走了一段小山路到达入口，顺着小火车的路线走，有点累，其实另一条路上去容易一些。到入口工作人员称会12:00开始进入，累积了一些人，有专门负责的导游带队，我们的队伍十个人左右，导游小姐姐很美，解说的非常熟练，还唱了两段山歌，但解说其实都是些众人想象出来的假象描述，给小孩子听听还可以，更导游主要是因为规定，以及导游有激活灯光的磁卡，才可以有光参观。因为是冬天来参观，外面很冷有风，但入洞之后越走越热，干脆把外套脱了，看来溶洞是冬暖夏凉呢。钟乳石形成的奇景真的让人惊叹，非常神奇的形状，再配合灯光效果，还是非常值得一看的。
此次去桂林没有去其他溶洞，只到达芦笛岩，参观时间不到一个小时，一个小时还包括中间有免费拍照和看乌龟环节，我并不觉得反感这些带有商业色彩的活动，刚好可以休息一下和有时间自己拍照。出口处要经过一些卖东西的商铺，但不会有上前兜售的情况，冬季人不多。整体来讲很满意。回程下去之后路过一大片湖泊，很美，然后再停车场对面坐3号巴士回市中心。

绝对不可错过的美丽岩洞! 它真的很美, 很大, 很高...用了约一小时参观, 内部的七彩灯光衬托, 令到岩洞如梦似幻, 最美的是水晶宫, 那倒影真的美丽莫名...每节均有导赏人员讲解...声线靼甜美可人, 讲解清晰专业, 更会唱歌...绝对不可错过的美丽岩洞!

One of the website says it is possible to get to the Reed Flute Cave using boat from the Nanmen Bridge Wharf in Guilin. I tried to find the Reed Flute Cave destination wharf or pier on the map, but did not find anything similar. It means the river cruise from Guilin is just round trip without stop here? Or I can really take a boat from Guilin to reach this cave?

You can stay 1 full day in Guilin : stroll around , visit the Red Flute Cave, the Pearl museum/ fabric and buy a good quality pearl bracelet or collar for example; other excursions are offered thereI, but I preferred to go to the last destination of this review, . You may go for a drink or even dancing in the old part of the city close to the Lake and the Elephant Trunk, there is also a night market and many food stalls around . Then drive to the rice fields ( minimum 2 hours) in Longshen and spend the day or even also sleep over: walk around the fields, go up (up the mountain by foot requires 2 hours min and good physical condition , or take a seat lift ) to the viewpoint with super scenic views, a coffee shop and little shops from the local people ; you may spend one night in one of the several hostels around (book in advance).
Your next destination is it three hours drive from this ricefields to Yongshuo. Or you go back to Guilin sleep over and take at 9:30 a 4-5 hour noisy boat trip from Guilin to Yongshuo (you have to book in advance and be ready one hour prior departure at the pier).
Yongshuo is one of the best places in China and the best of the area. In Yongshuo you may do many walking excursions , bicycle or motorcycle excursions (although I highly recommend to use the bike and enjoy the peace and the nature around) . Do not miss the non-motor boat tours please !!!! Do not miss the show on the lake at night (buy your tickets are your hotel or through your travel agent, they will provide go-return transportation). There is also a show several times a day about native people, but I haven't been there myself. It is also possible to have a fantastic view from the landscape with the special karstic little mountains, you may take mountingsby balloon or little airplane. Depending on the time of the year, there are also some spot for rafting. There are also some caves to visit and with some special games for young people. In the evening The centre of the town transforms in the very noisy and packed area. There is an ice skating ring underneath the kind of square at one end of the Main pedestrian street .There is also a very big night market full of live and many restaurants food stalls around, but what is impressive is one of the streets with very high music inside and outside, with karaoke , with live bands, and full of young Chinese people. Everything closes at midnight, anyway you can always find a peaceful area in the evening a bit of from this Main Street.
Even the road back to Guilin to take you to the train station or airport has fantastic views.

The bus station is well away from the cave . The cave is away from the city . I did not see where to store luggage, but the tourist infrastructure is good. I find it easier you find store luggage at the bus station .

I used a private guide for our Full day tour of Guilin including the caves. However, if you are planning to do independent travel in Guilin (with out a tour or guide) I would recommend getting a guidebook to assist you with your travel planning. I used Rough Guide China, but i also recommend Lonely Planet China. I would also double check with the front desk at your hostel. Most hostels around the world have an information desk where you can get info about tours and often book them directly. I would contact your hostel for advice. I bet they could arrange it for you in advance, but at the very least they can help you chose a travel supplier to book through. I hope you have fun in China!

I don't believe that it was too long. Like others have said, it probably took around 30 minutes on the bus. The bus is super cheap and easy so I would take that if you're not in a rush.

Yes, there is a fee but as everyone else we did not know , we had been taking care of all inclusive from Canada booking ,our trips are top knocks , we never have to wait for any entrances at all. We were saving so much time when the line is crazily long… for us paying a bit more it is worthy!
