I am trying to decide between morning/evening tour. What are the differences as far as the food goes? Does morning tour have more sweet/steamed things and evening tour have more savory/spicy/oily things (I like those :P)? Also, I am a vegetarian. Would either tour have better food options for me?
Hi SuparnaPu, thanks for your question! Both tours offer a similar variety of foods, but there are a few key differences in the overall tour experience. Our morning tour will include a short walk through one of China's oldest and largest markets where you will get to see all kinds of interesting things (produce, pets, local crafts, etc) and really get a feeling for the local culture in Xian. You'll eat things like breakfast stew, fried beef pancakes, fried persimmon donuts and hand-made (by yourself!) noodles. The evening tour is all about good food, good times and good beer. Along with all of the food (bbq over fire, xian style soup dumplings, lots of noodles, chinese burger, etc) you'll enjoy unlimited beer along the way in our tuktuks and we'll end at a local brewery where you get to sample their beer and choose a pint of your own. To sum things up, the morning is a bit more cultural and hands-on, the evening is food and fun. We can accommodate a vegetarian diet on either tour, but there will be some dishes you won't be able to eat. Of course if you can't decide, you can do what many others do and choose both! We offer a 10% discount when booking multiple tours. :-) Just shoot us an email if you have any other questions and we'll get back to you right away.
