Teine Snow Resort is ok, very nice to skiing there, but there is no slider there, I’m so disappointed because can’t play with my 10 months baby.
There is nursing area and they have big rest area/ canteen. Provide locker, ski lesson, ski store & ski rental.
Heading there from sapporo station-Teine station, and 15min by taxi (approx ¥1500).
We went back by bus to Teine Station, there is no taxi available, should booked a few hour before.
The bus is available every 30min and the line is so long at that time, with freezing cold outside, there is no other choice than wait.

There are several ski resorts in Saporro but Teine gotta be the best. Plenty of wide open tracks for beginner, intermediate and experts. Its divided into Olympia and Highland Zone but both zones has all level of tracks. At the peak, with clear skies you will be able to see the entire Saporro city. its about 45 minutes drive from Odori Park area. Canteen food is great with decent food and beers. I suggest renting at Highland as the crowd is lesser. Do ask for family ski rental price at 7900 Yen only.

もう手稲スキー場には雪が積もってました。こちらには、札幌冬季オリンピックの施設も現存しており、時代を感じました。

初めて夏の手稲山に登りました。
トレッキングもハイキングも苦手なのでもちろん車で、しかも立ち入り可能なハイランドコースの下まででしたが。
冬場はサッポロテイネスキー場として市街地から車で約40分、市中心部やJR手稲駅から運行しているバスでもアクセスできますが、夏場はゴルフ場のみの営業なので、ゴンドラやリフトは全て休止中。
それでも、晴れた日なら山合から石狩湾を眺望できる絶好展望穴場スポットです。
頂上に電波塔が林立する海抜1023mの手稲山のハイランドゾーンは、札幌冬季オリンピックの男女大回転、回転など、ダウンヒル以外のアルペン種目の全てが行われた記念すべきスロープ。
当時、リュージュやボブスレーの会場となったオリンピアゾーン（現・聖火台コース）には、市内に3基設置された聖火台の内の1基が残されています。
斜面構成としては、緩斜面と急斜面にくっきりと分かれており、中級者にはやや物足りないかもしれませんが、6000mのロング滑走可能、キッズゾーンにはソリスペース（1日乗り放題・出入り可/有料）も整備されているので、幅広いレベルや年齢層向きのスノーエリアです。

Did a day's skiing instruction with the family. The snow (in Feb) was great and the resort offers a range of different lessons as well as an English speaking instructor. We are just beginners so hard to comment on the level of facilities, slopes etc but we all had a great time. Only down point is that for a resort so close to sapporo the access is somewhat limited. With just one bus an hour up and down from the station its really hit or miss whether you will get on or not. Best be in the queue early to avoid disappointment and a long wait for the next one. Can't understand why there aren't more buses as the demand is clearly there. Altogether a great day out and highly recommended.

Accessible by JR train from Sapporo and it's pretty near maybe 10-15minutes ride there. We did it as a day trip but one day for skiing is just not enough! Took a bus at Teine station to the Olympia. Must remember to check for timing to and fro the station as it can get packed especially in the evening. Luckily we are the first few to queue and managed to get a seat when coming back!
It's my first time skiing and I wanted to try the snowboarding + skiing. So got that combo but it isn't cheap. Rented the equipments and jacket etc from them. Bought lift pass as well. Had a halfday morning skiing lesson and went for lunch. After that, tried skiing on my own and snowboarding after that.
I must say, it's really awesome to ski there. One of the best maybe. I fall quite alot but have to be careful because there is a lot of skiers going down all the slope and they might bang into you. It was snowing quite heavily when we went around -7 degree but you won't feel cold because carrying and walking with all the ski equipments make you hot!
The rental area was really hectic and messy. There are alot of people and the lockers area are packed as well. Since it was our first time, we do not really know how to wear etc and have to find out for ourselves. But overall, it's really fun. Great slope they have but we did not go to the top because we are beginner.
Definitely will be back there! Maybe spend 2 days there the next time. But beware when going back home because the bus will be very packed.

We are visiting Hokkiado this dec. I have a 5 year old son who have never skied before. I like to bring him to Mt Teine on a day trip, to learn skiing. If he likes it, we can head out to Nisseko.
May I know if there are any skiing lessons conducted in English at Mt Teine? I noticed above that there is a Mr Hori. How can I contact him?

I am thinking of getting a four hour ski lessons at teine ski field. Do I still need to buy a ski lift pass for that day? Amanda has suggested that as a beginner, there are 2 gentle slopes where I can ski without going up the ski lift.
My hubby and I have skied for 3 times while 2 sons have never skied before.
