Thank you for being our guide, Peter. We loved our unforgettable experience at the monkey park and our ride along the river was beautiful. The bamboo forest was breathtaking and we learned new facts about bamboo too! Maneuvering through the city streets was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Thank you for helping us gain new knowledge of the temples and shrines.

This was an amazing tour of Gion. I had already known quite a lot about geisha lifestyle but I still learned some new info on this tour. It was beautiful walking around at night and seeing the streets lit up. The guide was wonderful and so kind and informative. We saw some geikko and maiko out as well which was really exciting! I would highly recommend this tour.

Our local tour guide Mei provided a very friendly and interesting tour around the Gion district streets. We learnt a lot about the Geiko traditions but also insights into Kyoto in the past and present. Snow started falling during our tour making it memorable.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience with a private dinner with a Geisha.
our tour guide Nisey meet us and showed us around the Gion area before the dinner. The tour was an awesome experience, not expecting everything which was included. We will cherish these memories for a long time. I would give Tripadvisor a 5 star rating.

I highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide was amazing and took the tine to answer every single question we had (and we had lots of them). Great experience!

私は日本人ですが、祇園での生活はとても特別で興味深いものでした。参加してみて日本人でも知らない発見がたくさんありました。ガイドさんの知識量は非常に多く、またユーモアのある説明もとても楽しく、あっという間に時間が過ぎてしまいました。祇園観光で気をつけなければならないことを知り、とても有意義な時間を過ごすことができました。英語を勉強する上でも参加する価値のあるツアーだと思います。

Mie Tamada was an amazing guide and learning with her was like discovering a new layer of culture and connections that we couldn't have discovered on our own.
We'd been to Kyoto before and had a great time exploring on our own, but seeing it through her eyes was so much better. Mie led us to the bamboo grove, wonderful river ravine views in the Kameyama Park, into the famous rock gardens of the Ryoan-ji temple, to the ponds and gardens of the Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion), and to the Nijo-jo Castle.
We had really interactive and interesting discussions with Mie and she was really insightful and open about Japanese culture, as well as extremely knowledgeable about Japanese history. She really loves her vocation and even during the pandemic she spent the time deepening her knowledge of Japanese history. It was a great good fortune to be on a private tour with her where we could get the maximum benefit from her expertise.

Fantastic tour guide. Funny, great English. The information she shares on geishas is interesting and you also get to see the most important temple in Gion illuminated at night. We even saw a geisha though you can’t take pictures. There were 25 people on our tour on a Wednesday which was about the max I’d want to see or it would be hard to hear.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and we got to learn many things about the history and Geikko lifestyle. Plus we got super lucky and got to see a Geikko heading to a nearby teahouse while working.

I made a reservation last night for this tour, for three persons. I have made the payment, but I have not received the confirmation e-mail yet. When I email the official e-mail address it is not going through. The number listed here on Tripadvisor is also not in service. Could someone please assist?
