“Nice little place to try sake”

就在我和我弟弟在河边发现了这家酒吧。房间很小但是员工和清酒都非常的好而且价格合理。也不收服务费。

我们是去做一些日本酒的年轻人,里面都给我们提供了非常亲切和乐于助人。他真的是一个令人愉快的经历。我不知道靠什么,但一个很好的喝一杯饮料。

Nice little place to try sake

Right off the river my brother and I found this bar. It was quite small but the staff and the sake were very good and reasonably priced. No cover charge either.

Sweet Host

We went to just do some sake tasting and the young man inside that tended to us was so sweet and helpful. He really made it a pleasant experience. Not sure I leaned much about sake but a nice way to get a drink.

Tasting sake menu was bad

The 1000 yen tasting sake menu featured four sake samples, three of which were bad, and one of which was OK. Cheap, yes, but the price reflected the quality.

The space is a bit dingy, although the service was great.

Below expectations

After reading all those great reviews, we wanted to try this bar after dinner last night. But we were both disappointed. The furnishing seems a bit cheap and we were the only guests. The staff was just standing in the corner watching us while we were drinking. Except for that, they were really friendly and the sake was also very good. I would only return, if there already were some guests inside, as the atmosphere in an empty bar is quite awkward.

Discover sake and meet an ex geiko

After reading reviews on ta we decided to go to jo sake. The sake tasting menu was fantastic,I have previously only tolerated warm sake, but here at jo we even found a couple of cold delicious varieties. The welcome is very warm and we played a geiko drinking/party game and spoke to the hostess who used to be a geiko. Really interesting, overall a fantastic place to go.

interesting experience at an interesting price

We were in Kyoto for our honeymoon and accidently came across this small bar in the centre of kyoto. I actually didn't even know there were so many different kinds of sake, and the lady kindly explained and selected for us three of them to have an idea of the possible tastes and types of sake. she was very very nice and let us have a good time. she offered to take a picture of us while drinking sake and gave us japanese suites to have ax extra funny experience. we went out very satisfied and amused. nice japanese homeyness. thank you jo.

Great Experience!

Had a blast! The Staff was super friendly and spoke a very good english. The Sake tasting for 1000 yen was totally worth it. Plus: met great people that I spent the evening with.

Incredible sake experience

It was absolutely worth it! This bar is totally amazing. One of the best services from stuff - was friendly. Their English is pretty good so that we could have fun a lot!
Nice atmosphere, great services and excellent sake!
We'll come in the future definitely. We highly recommended this bar!

Good place to taste sake!

We came from Tokyo and we wanted to try Some sake from Kyoto. We tasted three kinds of sake, which is only 1000 yen to pay. The staff were very friendly and explained about the sake. Also a lady is used to be a MAIKO, and she showed us some pictures of her, was so beautiful!

There were many foreign customers, and they were taking photos with samurai costumes. Looked very fun!

If you are interested in Japanese sake and learning some Japanese culture, Jo would be a great place to go.
