The enshrined deity is said to be Emperor Ojin, and it is said to be a Shikinaisha shrine.
In addition to the main deity, Emperor Ojin, the shrine also enshrines Injikiirihiko no mikoto, Izanami no mikoto, Amenotsukotachi no mikoto, Amaterasu Omikami, Amenokoyane no mikoto and Sugawara no Michizane.
In 1907, five shrines including Yokono Shrine, a Shikinaisha shrine, were merged.
It is not known when the shrine was founded, but according to the shrine's historical explanation, it would have existed when the Engishiki was compiled. The entrance to the approach is on the opposite side of the main road. It is believed that the main road was built on top of the original approach.

大阪探訪で初めて南巽を訪問し駅で情報を得てから散策しました最初に訪れたのがこの神社です。明治時代に造られたようですので神社としては比較的新しいと思います。第一鳥居から神社を見ると間に道路が合ってその先に第二の鳥居があります。造りはコンクリート製ですので重厚さはありません。この左奥に赤い鳥居のお稲荷さんがあります。
