This was a perfect end to our visit to Japan. Sam shared some local spots and we saw another (greener and more peaceful) side to Osaka. We did a private family tour and got to stop at a couple of great little local food stops. Hard to make everyone in a family of 5 happy but Sam managed it brilliantly. A real winner!
This was an excellent way to see the city and sample some local food. Our guide was a native of Osaka but had lived in Tokyo for 5 years so he was a great resource for the specific culture of Osaka. We only did a day trip to Osaka and I wished we spent more time there. The people are incredibly friendly and chatty. Bicycling through this city is very easy and there are just the right amount of stops along the way. We weren’t able to try all the local street food but ask your guide for local recommendations if you’re spending more than a day there. Ookini for a great ride!
We had a super cycle tour around the main tourist sights of Osaka. We had two kids with us aged 8 and 11 and the organisers were very careful about supplying appropriate bikes for them and helmets. Safety standards are very good, we stayed away from main roads and took shortcuts and side streets and managed to get round all the sights effortlessly. The guide was very attentive to road safety and kept the two kids safe and sound. With thoughtful and knowledgeable commentary for the duration of the tour, this is definitely a first class way of seeing Osaka and so much more refreshing than a tour bus. Strongly recommended
Great tour and great food (we are foodies and loved it!). Yuki was the perfect guide and told us a lot about Japanese culture, which was very appreciated. Arigato gozaimasu for the great experience! Absolute recommendation!!!
Overall it was a great tour riding around north Osaka. We rode mainly on roads and sidewalks, but didn’t feel unsafe. My only criticism is that it felt a bit rushed. It would have been nice to spend a bit longer in certain points of interest to explore off the bikes. We only really did this at Osaka castle.
