長崎歴史がメインなんだけど、どうやって日本が異国の文化を知り、中国や欧米(主にオランダ)と交流や貿易を行ったのか詳しく語れているんで、情報豊富の歴史博物館です。読むものが多くて歴史好きな方はきっと楽しめるでしょう。長崎が西洋の文化や物資を輸入する中心であった事が面白かったです。オランダ人や中国人の長崎での暮らし、キリスト教の普及と後の禁止令などについてより詳しく知り事ができて楽しかったです。日本の昔の政府やキリスト教の日本での流れも詳しく説明されているエリアもあります。
スタッフが丁寧で優しく、入場料安いので、原爆資料館を含めて長崎の歴史をより深く知るためにはとても良い博物館だと思いました。
全てをじっくり見て回るのは役2時間ぐらいかかりました。ギフトショップもあります。
情報の九割が日本語だけだけど、英語の説明も多少あります。
スタッフが丁寧で優しく、入場料安いので、原爆資料館を含めて長崎の歴史をより深く知るためにはとても良い博物館だと思いました。

It’s fine. Within the “permanent exhibition,” very little is explained in English, and the audio guide is badly narrated by some American millennial - unlistenable. The “recorded plays” in the second half, barefoot section, are informative and enjoyable, although probably not enough to justify a visit to the museum.
The best attraction of this neighborhood turned out to be the Masusaki Bakery across the street. If you’re nearby, definitely try out one (and then one more) of their delicacies!

グーグルmapで徒歩で探して来たのもあり、到着時ちょうど携帯が充電切れになり、見学中にでもコンセントを貸してくれないか?とお願いしたところ見事に断られました(10分か15分くらいでも？と言っても駄目でした、きっと館内規則なんでしょうね)。
せっかくなので見学させてもらいましたが何か残念な気分でした。

I visited the Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture during my tour with Huber Tomodachi Guide. My guides were so friendly and kind and knew a lot about Nagasaki history! They taught me a lot and brought me to this museum. Since we went on the weekend, we were able to enjoy a historical play that was free with the regular admission ticket (which is fairly priced). The play was in Japanese, yet I still found it very entertaining and educational despite my lack of Japanese language ability. The staff here work hard to help you make the most of your experience which I appreciate a lot. There is so much valuable information in this museum about Nagasaki's rich and diverse past! I highly recommend!

What a great way to learn history. I experience a live play at the Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture about the Phaeton incident. It shows that accountability matters. You can experience other live plays on history and culture there. It was a great experience that combines learning and fun.

長崎奉行所立山役所があった場所に役所建物を復元して建てられた博物館。長崎奉行所関連の資料や長崎と西洋や中国との交流に関する資料が展示されている。キリシタン踏み絵やインゲン豆で有名な隠元の来日等の資料も展示されている。再現された奉行所の白洲では土日祝に奉行役や下手人役の役者さん達が寸劇を演じており、奉行の横に座りながら寸劇を観る事が出来る。

Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture is a very entertaining for not only adults but also for children. There are many audio and video guidances which are easy to understand. As this museum was built at the site of Nagasaki Bugyosho, Administrator’s Office, there is also a reconstruction of its rooms, that is particularly interesting. On the 3rd floor, there is a temporary exhibition. To overlook this museum, you need at least one and a half hour.
