I used a tour guide/company (Island Exploration Seychelles) who picked me up at hotel , but I would guess around 15-20 minute drive from port up mountain to start of trail along steep winding roads. Not sure if there is a bus service but if you take a taxi be aware they are very expensive in Seychelles and may cost you up to €50 for the journey. Definitely worth doing as views from top are amazing but it is quite a tough steep walk. Enjoy.

For sure there are buses from Victoria and there's a bus stop at the start of the trail (bus will probably take about 30 minutes from Victoria). As the trail start is a little hidden, best ask the driver to tell you when you're there. In terms of getting from Baie Lazare to Victoria, I'm not sure, but I presume there are buses.

Yes, absolutely. It's reasonably well marked and none of it is too difficult.

Copolia and Morne Blanc gives you a birds eye view of Mahe Island. If hiking is on your to-do list and you don’t mind manoeuvering through trees and climbing a little steep climb, then you should choose Copolia Trail. You will not regret the sweat, pain and shredded calories when you find yourself amidst clouds at the top. The view is really breathtaking from up there and if you are lucky you will have some friendly encounters Enroute. Morne Blanc is easiest among the three but the view at the top is not as great as at Copolia.

When I did the walk, there was a security guard posted at the start of the trail. I'm not aware of any guide or guard who may accompany tourist on the walk. On weekends there are usually groups of locals walking the trail and of course there is safety in munbers.
