This old mall is now officially closed since 01.01.2020 I heard it will be replaced by a new condominium. This shopping center was the Mega Mall of the 70's and now the last memories of this place is the "The Mall, The Merrier" movie.

المكان يحمل معه ذكريات جميلة وممتعة ايام الثمانيات لجميعنا الطلبة الدارسين فى جامعات مانيلا المتنوعة حيث انه كان المركز القريب لنا لشراء لوازم الدراسة و الملابس والاحذية منه وكذلك مشاهدة الافلام لاربعة اماكن في اركانه لدور العرض . كما كان به مطاعم فخمة وذلك لقربه من الفندق الفخم . نرجوا ان يقموا بترميمه وترتبة مثل ماكان فس سابق عصره بل افظل . المكان آمن ومحمي ومشوق. احب ازوره ثانية

Begitu memasuki mal ini langsung terasa banget aura jadulnya. Sepertinya sudah lama berdiri dan terlihat sangat lelah. Beberapa fasilitas bahkan terlihat seadanya termasuk fasilitas toiletnya yang tak terurus.
Meski sudah tua pengunjung masih lumayan banyak. Ada waralaba ternama membuka outlet disini. Mall ini sebenarnya punya potensi bagus untuk kembali naik daun karena selain strategis juga dilengkapi parkiran yang luas. Hanya perlu sentuhan total agar terlihat segar.
Mampir kesini karena kebetulan penginapan tidak jauh dan berada di depan Rizal Memorial Sport Complex.

Not many tourists here so Manila visitors aren’t fleeced with high prices. More of a small shopping mall with no glitz or pizzazz like expensive bigger ones (Eg Mall of Asia). Everyday shopping with no glam pretentious

フィリピンの最古のショッピングモールだとのこと。SMのある側はまだいいが、小規模店舗が入っている側は薄暗くてどことなく治安の悪さを醸し出す空間。昔よりは治安も良くなったようだが、常に気を張っていないといけない雰囲気。決して安いお店が入っているわけではない。

I heard that this structure was once the longest standing mall in phil. (not sure about that)
I explored it and I saw many things that are cheap and also of good quality.
Bought a spag and carbonara for 50php and ate at some ramen shop at the back.
Chatted with a vendor there, they informed me that "we have a chance to continue our new business, if the new management will let us"
Well that sold me, I would revist this again in the future for the plans of the new management is.

Harrison Plaza 1978......hmmm,Arcade video games,the first bump car rides,that life-size gorilla statue,the Bird-Johnson height measurement scale and the model kit shop are they still there?missed those emotionally.

I am sure during the 70’s that Harrison Plaza was THE Mall to be at. Those days are long gone and it shows its age. Having said that we always visit when in Manila getting there via jeepney. They have a good range of shops, department store, and lots of little eateries. As Malls go if you want glitzy and large this isn’t the place to go but for a walk down memory lane if is worth it.

Harrison Plaza for me is so comfortable place if you want a relaxing and you only want to have some exercise by walking because the place is so spacious and not to much people to bump along,like any other malls in Manila.Lots of thrift shop to spend your time,for me its very convenient to go here,theres this shop wise grocery store and book store and some second hand book store that all the book lover will enjoy .You should visit this place even if it is an old mall you will surely find it very relaxing and lots of fun you can share with youre fam and friends..Very memorable place for me!.

Yes- just no jewellery and take limited valuables. This is the only place in the Philippines I have been pickpocketed losing my cell phone to some kids some years ago. My own fault and learnt a lesson. Apart from that never had any problems. It being adjacent to Century Park makes it very handy for those staying at that lovely hotel.

Yes, I think it is safe to wander around, but I'm not sure of your level of experience in the Philippines. You should exercise some street smarts... avoid beggars at the front door, inside the mall is best, outside is a little more sketchy. Don't wear valuables, like a good watch, keep your money in a safe place. There are better malls - like Robinsons Place, which is not far away - but this one will offer some low prices and in some ways a better glimpse of "real life" in the Philippines. Enjoy yourself, for the most part filipinos are wonderful and hospitable - you just have to exercise a little caution knowing that they are the experts in their environment and you are not.

Is the collecting of parking fees by the representative of the office of the mayor of Manila legal? I mean I parked inside the parking lot of Harrison Plaza. Before, I just have to give money to the boys who guards the cars P10 to P30. But now someone from the parking bureau collects P30 plus additional P20 every hour exceeded. I feel this is just another scam by the people inside city hall to extort money from us. A-holes the lot of them.

The boys have nothing to do with the parking,but just ask people to look after their cars for money.
There are many cpons like that there,if you are worried,just check at the police station on the corner of the car park and they will let you know,they speak good English
