We stopped by en route to OKC from Tulsa whilst driving Route 66 West.
It is a lot larger than most people imagine.
Downstairs there is a small exhibition detailing the origins of the barn along with some keepsakes to purchase.
Upstairs you can view the loft itself.
The gentleman volunteer was really friendly, chatting about Arcadia and how he n his wife had originally moved there. He also invited us back that evening (Friday night) for their regular music n dance evening. Unfortunately we weren’t able to return but if you are intending to visit it might be worth ringing to check if there are any events on that you might like to join in as he told us they have a lot of social nights in order to make full use of the barn.

What a cool place! Lots of history. Go up to the loft. Idk how in the world they managed to build this creation back “in the day.” Original builder was extremely talented and brave! Free, but be a cool kid and give the suggested $2 per person donation to enter. The clean bathrooms are worth that donation!

Our daughter and her family live about 10 minutes away from this historic barn, built in 1898. Supposedly, it was built this way to help avoid damage from high winds and tornadoes. She had sent us photos, and we were looking forward to seeing it in person. It was much larger than we had thought, and it really is a must visit, if just for the roof alone.
First, we explored the first floor, where there is much history, souvenirs, and a small antique shop. Then, we climbed the stairs (there are bannisters on both sides) to the second level, where there is a bench all along the circular wall, and several open windows, with views of the surroundings. We sat down on the bench, and could not take our eyes off the domed ceiling. What beautiful craftsmanship!
There is a collection of vintage farm equipment outside, and ample parking. It is claimed that this barn is the most photographed attraction on all of Route 66.

This was a fun stop! I love visiting places with a story and history. You can go into the barn where you will find lots of information about the history of this unique place. There are also collectable items and souvenirs for sale. I enjoyed all the displays and information. Make sure and take the time to walk upstairs. The architect of the barn is amazing. Visit is free although donations are appreciated.

The Old Round Barn is another classic roadside attraction along Route 66. There is a sign identifying it as such. We wanted to take it in as we checked off items on our Route 66 tour. There is free parking across from or behind the barn. The barn is free to visit (good will donation suggested). The outer grounds we're well cared for with nice flowers and foliage. The barn is open 10-5. The lower level is a combination museum, flea market and gift shop. If not crowded, you can wander at your leisure. You can go to the upper level which is often used for events. We watched the set up for an anniversary party while we were there. Great interior and exterior shots. Definitely worth the stop but doesn't require a long stay. Restrooms are available. The Richardson Building which contains a shop filled with interesting items is just down the hill and Pops the soda store is just down the road.

It’s one of those things you just don’t see around the Midwest. It was worth the stop for us. Lots of old neat antiques to look at and a lot of history on the wall. Stopped to visit the little shop by it too.

So neat inside and there’s a small gift shop. Free to go in and look around. Can go in the upstairs loft area. Lots of history.

We were in the area to check out a few places in Arcadia, Oklahoma.
We stopped to check out this part of history.
We parked across the street but then saw they have a parking lot behind the Red Round Barn.
There were a few other visitors but the place is big and we could easily move around to read about the things we saw.
Interesting architecture inside of the Round Barn.
Lot of cool items.
They have restrooms, (neither of us used), so I can not comment on cleanliness.
They also have some items for sale, like a yard sale as well as gift shop items.
You have to go up stairs to enter the Barn and it was rather hot up there.
It did not take us long to see everything.
Glad we stopped to check it out.

A Mr. William Harrison “Big Bill” Odor originally built the barn, but there was a huge restoration of this property.
