Mature tree lined course not real long but you gotta keep it in the fairway
Lots of fun a challenge for every skill level carts are available but it’s not necessary a very walkable course no water hazards only a few bunkers practice green and driving range available clubhouse has snacks hotdogs and beer staff is friendly and helpful

Hi gang,
Along my way from Salm to Eugene,Or I sought out an out-of-the-way golf course. I got there around 7:30 and saw some members teeing off but the pro shop hadn't opened yet (???). There's a driving range and.a small putting green that prohibits chipping (I'd never THINK of sneaking in a few chips when no one's looking........)
The course is in a valley with an elevated RR track along the first fairway. The layout zig-zags around the property. There's an open field to the left of #1 fairway where no less than 10 combines were sent out to reap the ryegrass for seed production. Quite a sight !!!
The course plays well, fairways and tees are in good shapes but there's a few "iffy" areas where bare ground can be seen on the greens. I recommend playing here, staff is very friendly and you will be sure to enjoy this fun little layout.

Decided to play golf while in Albany and came across this great course. Tight tree-lined (1700 trees) good greens overall good experience. Great teaching Pro… ask for Randy Byers. He's da man!

The first time ever playing this course, first impression was noticing all the mature fir trees that lined the course. Well maintained fairways, noticeable first cuts around fairways and greens. Bunkers relatively small, but soft sand and playable (unfortunately). Greens were on the smaller side, but very good for a public course, consistent roll on every green. Dirt cart paths well maintained and signage for each hole location well maintained and marked. Not a very long course, played from the back tees, some holes very challenging with long doglegs to negotiate, some shorter to balance the course out. 150 yard markers on every hole accurate and visible. Very fun course, would like to play it again not that I have seen the course.

I golf here often. The public course, one of the oldest on the west coast is a challenging and usually well maintained. Good location and lots of parking.

Normally I ride a cart when I play. So when they said they were out of carts I almost left. I am glad I stayed. Even in 90 degree heat I was able to pull my own clubs around. The cost to walk was very reasonable and I got hooked up with some locals with great course knowledge. The course plays longer than the yardage because of a lot of trouble from mature trees and bunkers in the right spots. The small greens are fast and demanding with some serious back to front sloping. I will play there again before I go back to the converted country club up the road.
