We visited in early June after quite a bit of rain. It was wet and slick, so we did only the 2 lower trails to Silver Falls and Golden Falls. Both trails were about 20 min RT(each). The falls were impressive! It's a bit of a slow drive from Coos Bay. It's something different and a nice break from the beach, especially when the water is flowing! May not be worth it in late summer when there's not so much water.

After reading reviews, we were hesitant to take the drive to these falls. There was mention of 8 miles of gravel road with potholes that leads to the trail heads. But go we did. Turns out it is 5 miles of gravel road with the aforementioned potholes. Very slow going and dusty. It took over an hour to drive from Coos Bay. Which would have been okay if the falls were overly impressive which unfortunately they weren’t. It has been very dry so there was very little water in the falls. There are massive rocks that the falls trickle over. If you want to get a little closer to the falls you will need to climb over fallen rocks. The trails need maintenance as the brush is intruding and parts of the trail are crumbling away. The area has a jungle like feeling with all the trees, ferns and other greenery. There are three trails. One to Silver Falls, one to the bottom of Golden Falls, and one closer to the tops of the falls. We hiked all three and it took about 1 ½ hours. There are restrooms at the trail head, and an information stand. Personally, I would skip it unless the falls were full of water. Not worth getting the car dirty and challenging the suspension!

Two beautiful waterfalls.. A fairly easy short walk to both of them and worth it.. You can do a longer walk to the top of Golden falls if you want to I believe it's about a mile.. The boulder rocks are huge and there is a tree that has actually split a rock by growing in it.. Very serene place that lovely sound of water..

We stayed in Coos Bay and this was about a 45 min drive, get there early to avoid any kind of traffic. We were there around 10 ish and were the only people there until we were on our way out. We did Silver falls first in about 20 min and it leaves you at the base of the waterfall so expect kids. Golden falls gives you two options, we did the longer one and it was scenically beautiful!! Takes you all the way to the top to look over all the trees and the top of the waterfall. If your looking for a nice/easy hike and avoid crowds THIS IS IT!

Piękne, dzikie miejsce z całą pewnością warte obejrzenia. Droga dojazdowa jest niekomfortowa - jest pokryta tłuczniem. To jest to jedna z niedogodności tego miejsca. Druga to infrastruktura turystyczna - też jest słabiutko (brudne toalety, nieciekawe miejsce piknikowe), ale moim zdaniem to są drobiazgi. Majwspanialsze, że wodospady są położone w dzikim i odludnym miejscu w pewnej odległości od parkingu a więc trzeba trochę przejść, żeby je zobaczyć. To bardzo miła i ciekawa wycieczka. W przypadku Golden Falls można wybrać dłuższą drogę prowadzącą do punktu widokowego od góry wodospadu. Uwaga dla zwiedzających: proszę kierować się znakami a nie nawigacją, ponieważ nawigacja prowadzi przez mostek który jest już nieczynny. pokusa do jechania lepszym drogą asfaltową skutkuje tym że będziemy musieli nadłożyć tej drogi (czyli wrócić do rozjazdu)

We stayed just down the road in an AirBnB cottage. We were going to walk to the falls which would have taken an hour but on the day it was raining so we drove 15 minutes. Road is gravel with numerous potholes so not the best.
Golden falls are about a 30 minute round trip using the lower trail, about a 60 minute round trip using the upper trail. Some rocks need to be negotiated if you want to go down to the base.
Silver falls are about a 15 minute round trip.
We preferred the silver falls and I believe if you see them after snow has fallen they are WOW.
I agree with another reviewer, go to the restroom before visiting!

We stayed at the HomeAway “below the falls lodge” right next to the park entrance . We loved the whole area. We took all three routes to the waterfalls and each one is amazing. My 10 year old navigated the terrain on his own. The path is maintained.

The road in is a bit of a challenge nearly 20 kilometre on gravel road ( need to wash car after trip), one stretch near the end is single vehicle only. I didn’t pass any vehicle either in or out on gravel section.
Once in the car park only two other vehicles in car park when we got there(11.30am on a Tuesday), we took the shortest trail first going to base of Silver Falls. The walk in and out OK only the last 50 yards a challenge and that was if you wanted to get close to falls.
On your way up look out for the tree growing out of rocks mini version of the one at Tomb Raider Temple at Angkor Wat.
Round trip took us 30 minuets this included time to take a lot of photos.

Visited today for the first time. Silver falls was a nice short hike with a beautiful waterfall. Upper Golden falls was a moderate hike with spectacular views. The road getting there is slightly sketchy but otherwise a great place

this is a lovely drive from coos bay and you can see both falls with two fairlu short hikes and a longer hike option for a different viewpoint. 2 warnings though...
1. wear good shoes. not sandals. the trail is rocky and a bit rough. if you want to get close, you will have to climb over some rocks (though you can get close enough to see both falls without, golden falls in particular requires a bit of rock climbing)
2. use a bathroom ahead of time. the toilets here are appalling. the doors dont close. there is NO paper in either stall. one stall completely missing a seat. both full or garbage.
