What a surreal place! Genius constructions, it looks like another planet! Indispensable visit, for photos and appreciate this architecture of Niemeyer so peculiar! Inside the cathedral is also beautiful, with the glass and sculpture of Pietá. Beautiful cathedral!

If you are looking at the buildings from the outside, you might as well stick your head into the cathedral and see what's inside.

Excellent place. Very good view and it is free to enter it. On the outside you can find artisans who sell souvenirs at very good prices.
The cathedral is located in the same Eixo Monumental and there is a ramp that descends with which you can enter the church, the same that is used by many to take photos. A quiet place.

I'm an atheist and I wanted to pray in this church. The experience of being inside is moving, it seems as if the Holy Spirit fills the space and expands, weighing on all visitors. I donated money to contribute to buying toilet paper, as I didn't have any in the bathroom, but I understand that it is difficult to maintain these things with the pounding of school visits that they must receive daily (disclaimer: nothing against school visits and children. The Kingdom of God belongs to children ).

Another masterpiece of Oscar Niemeyer. The cathedral is stunning, both from outside and inside. Definitely worth a visit for all architecture lovers.

The city's landmark, a church with modest acoustics. The bells are on a special stand outside. Beggars lurk in front of the entrance. Admission is free.

Domingo: 8h30 - 10h30 e 18h30
De terça-feira à sexta-feira: 12h15 e 18h15
Sábado: 17h00
Às segundas não tem missa

O estacionamento ali é gratuito e existe sim. Vc pode inclusive parar do lado da igreja. É seguro, e alem do mais podes tb apreciar toda a esplanada, o Museu Nacional, a Biblioteca Nacional, Itamaraty, Congresso Nacional e Senado Federal.

Na Catedral a visita não é guiada, mas se estiver em algum Hotel pergunte sobre serviço de city tour, normalmente eles indicam pessoas conveniadas e capacitadas. É muito bom pois o guia conhece os locais e irá explicar tudo que precisa saber. Fiquei no Hotel Windsor Plaza e eles ofereceram um serviço ótimo com guia muito bom.

Horário de atendimento da secretaria: de segunda a sexta-feira, das 9h às 17h, e aos sábados, das 8 às 12h. (Durante a limpeza na Nave central as terças e sextas das 08:00 as 10:30hs não temos atendimento).
Horário de funcionamento e visita na Catedral:
– Segunda-feira: de 08h às 16hs30.
– Terça e Sexta-feira das 10:30h as 18h (limpeza da Nave central das 08:00 as 10:30hs).
– Quarta, Quinta, Sábado e Domingo das 08h às 18hs
Importante:
– A Limpeza da Nave Central pode ser alterada sem prévio aviso.
– Durante os horários da missas as visitas na Catedral são interrompidas.
– Visita de grupos não é necessária agendar. Pedimos apenas observa os horários das missas, pois a visitação é interrompida.
