We are so pleased we decided to go with Lumina for our day trip around ihla grande. Pieter was amazing in all ways. He messaged us before to make sure we knew exactly where we going and even picked us up from the shop where we have bought some snacks and drink for the trip. Pieter was amazingly flexible. The weather wasn't looking too good on the day we had booked and he kindly changed the day last minute for us to get the best weather. We first went out to a fantastic little spot for snorkling. Pieter gave us all the equipment we needed and let us snorkel for as long as we wished and we saw some amazing fish and turtles! Pieter then took us to a beautiful little beach where we got in his dingy and went to shore for a glass of champagne of the private beach. After a little while we went back on the boat and Pieter very kindly arranged an additional beach stop for my boyfriend who shortly after, proposed to me on the boat! Pieter even took pictures from his paddleboard for us! It was the best day and Pieter couldnt have been more accommodating. Thank you so much!

This was a terrific find. Pieter, the captain, was extremely helpful, accommodating and very knowledgeable about the area. We arranged everything through WhatsApp which was perfect for me. We boarded in Angra and we spent several hours sailing around the islands with some swimming and snorkelling. Pieter would have tailored the day to whatever we wanted but we were happy to leave the decisions up to him. Pieter is Dutch and spoke perfect English as well as Portuguese. It was such a relaxing, beautiful day and it finished with Pieter dropping us of at the marina next to our hotel in Frade which was a fantastic way to end for us. I would highly recommend.

Minha família (11 pessoas) adorou os passeios realizados em 5 dias no catamarã do Pieter e da Dora. Recomendamos a todos que desejem visitar as ilhas e desfrutar da natureza exuberante da região. Pieter e Dora são educados, eficientes, alegres, enfim, excelentes companheiros. Residem em Angra dos Reis, motivo pelo qual conhecem a região em detalhes. Por fim, acrescento que o Pieter fala diversos idiomas.

We had a fantastic time on Pieter's boat. We are a family of four and took a private tour around the islands off the Fasano Hotel. We called Pieter last minute and he was able to accommodate our request. We felt very comfortable on the boat as Pieter is a very experienced skipper and super friendly! Now we are excited about doing more sailing trips. Thank you Pieter for the lovely experience.

O Pieter, a Dora (e a Jolie) são pessoas incríveis. Vivemos cinco inesquecíveis dias em família a bordo. A Lumina é um barco marinheiro, confortável e estável, e seus proprietários fazem de tudo para melhorar ainda mais essa experiência. O Pieter nos ajudou bastante em nos proporcionar uma experiência de vela e se dispôs a responder todas as perguntas a respeito do barco. Absolutamente recomendado.

O day charter foi um presente surpresa de dia dos pais pro meu pai. Desde o início Dora e Pieter ajudaram em tudo pra ser perfeito! Quando chegamos, tive a certeza que fiz a escolha certa. Pedimos um café da manhã, que é um extra e valeu muito a pena, a Dora é uma cozinheira maravilhosa. O catamarã é lindo e bem cuidado, rende fotos lindas e é tão estável que até quem se sente desconfortável em barcos fica tranquilo. Pieter foi super atencioso com o meu pai que sonhava em conhecer um veleiro e estava como uma criança querendo aprender (risos). Já conhecíamos bem a Ilha Grande, mas ela ganhou um novo sabor, nem queríamos sair do barco pra almoçar. Velejar é realmente tudo que esperávamos. Jolie, a filha de 4 patas do casal, uma shitzu muito esperta e fofa, foi um presente à parte. Só temos a agradecer por essa experiência. Já estamos fazendo planos de voltar pra mais dias. Muito obrigada Dora, Pieter e Jolie! Beijos da Família Soares.

A really perfect day and the highlight of our most recent Brazil trip. My wife, two year old daughter, two friend and I were taken from Angra dos Reis accross to Ilha Grande on a beautiful, well equipped 40ft sailing catamaran where we spent the day anchored in a stunning little cove, perfect for swimming, snorkeling and just enjoying the day and scenery. The captain Pieter is delightful, knowledgable and a joy to sail with. Everything about the trip was perfect, could not have asked for more!

Beautiful daytrip in Angra dos Reis. Snorkel diving at Botinas island, great lunch at Canto das Canoas and wonderful sightseeings around the Gipoia island. Captain Pieter was a great host and speaks fluent Dutch, English and Portuguese.

We are a family of five with three young children aged 6,7 and 11. We sailed with Lumina Charters and skipper Pieter Kommerij from Angra dos Reis to Ilha Grande for 5 nights. Pieter was relaxed and we felt safe and welcome aboard his yacht. We found many beautiful and secluded beaches to enjoy to ourselves. It was a great experience.

muito bom , o Pieter e uma pessoa incrível muito atencioso preocupado com segurança e com conforto da tripulação o catamarã e excelente confortável ótimos quartos banho quente , a alimentação a bordo fantástica recomento para quem quer ter uma experiência de navegação ou um bom passeio com a família.

Ola... un paseo desde Rio de Janeiro a Angra es un dia, pero p Buzios es mas de un dia. Se quiseres hacer un paseo desfrutando la beleza y naturaleza en este region, sugiro un charter partindo de Angra dos Reis y explorar Paraty, y Ilha Grande (dependiente cuanto tiempo tienes). Para un charter con hospedagen, tenemos 2 cabines con cama casal disponible (total 4 personas). Aguardando sus comentarios, y pido desculpas por mi respuesta tan tarde. Cordial saludos, Pieter
