Originally we wanted to book another tour guide who was sadly totally booked out that day we wanted to do the tour. Marcio is a kind and extremely well connected in Rio de Janeiro. He managed to skip all the lines which was great and he drove us around.
Unfortunately, we’re a bit disappointed overall.
We met at 8am at the hotel to visit Christ the Redeemer statue. Which was too late, we arrived at the train station to take us to the statue at 9am and there was already a big crowd waiting for the train to take them to the statue. We said a couple of times in advance that we could gladly meet earlier in the morning in order to be the first ones to see the statue. We felt he never really cared about our wishes either. He argued it’s better to split the tour into two half days, but we wanted to do the tour in one day to visit the statue, sugar loaf, selaron steps and the metropolitan cathedral. We couldn’t even visit the cathedral, because it was prohibited to park the car there. We visited each spot very briefly and he couldn’t provide us much with the history and architecture.
We visited the sugar loaf in the afternoon but Marcio wanted to leave earlier. We wanted to stay and watch the breathtaking sunset, but we still had to pay him 1,375.00 BRL (250.- USD including 5% credit card fees) and had to go down again to his car where he left his payment terminal.
Furthermore, Marcio was very determined to book us again for a sightseeing tour through the Tijuca forest for a reduced price. During our tour he was also more interested in my opinion regarding his new website as well recommendations. He also wanted to take lots of Selfies with him and us.
To conclude, it was overpriced for what we got.

Marcio is a great tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and knows the best places to take pictures even when it’s crowded. I would recommend him! He even took us around the area so that we could have better experienced Rio.

We had the chance to meet Màrcio who was an expert and kind guide through this beautiful city that is Rio de Janeiro. Despite the time constraints, we managed to see the main attractions and have a great lunch. Really recommended!

Estuvimos todo el dia con Marcio en Río, día maravilloso!!!!
En 8 horas nos hizo un tour fantástico de la ciudad!!!
Encantador, educado, simpático, atento, conoce perfectamente donde ir, cómo, las mejores vistas y comimos con él en un restaurante al lado de Maracaná, bueniiiisimo!!
SÚPER RECOMENDABLE!!!!!!!

Marcio is amazing! He was prompt with picking us up at our hotel. He had a plan with activities to do and was agile with a last minute request with a helicopter tour of Christ the Redeemer and was able to get us in right away. With his connections, he was able to skip the lines for Sugar Loaf and other sites we wanted to see. His car was clean and we felt entirely safe the whole time.
He is knowledgeable of the city and helped us with language barriers. To be a guide, you need patience and he was patient.
Thank you Marcio! We had so much fun!

Marcio was absolutely Fabulous. We were on our way up to see Christ the Redeemer and overheard Marcio giving an excellent private tour to the family behind us. We were so impressed with how fun, charismatic and insightful he was and we wanted to spend time with him ourselves. We introduced ourselves and were able to book a tour the next day with him. He took us to sugar loaf, the rainforest and we even went on a helicopter ride.
Marcio shared so much history on Rio and all of the areas we went to. I feel like I know so much about Rio because of him.

Loved the beach fale and great meals at Vacation Beach Resort.

Eu, minhas 2 filhas, meu marido e uma tia gostaríamos de fazer um passeio pelo Pão de Açúcar e um pequeno tour pela cidade (talvez Igreja da Penha).
O que vc nos propõe?
Quanto vc cobraria por isto? Qual carro?
Vamos ficar hospedado em Copacabana, na Barata Ribeiro.
Chegaremos no Rio dia 19 de janeiro (à tarde) e sairemos dia 22, portanto só temos dia 20 ou 21.

Hola me parecen muy interesantes los comentarios. Voy para año nuevo con mi familia, somos 4 y no quiero arriesgarme a no encontrar un buen tour por Rio para esa fecha por eso busco hacerlo por anticipado. Pregunto si es segura la contratacion por internet, y si hay algun contacto particualr con el guía o solo por el link de Trip.
Cualquier otro dato lo agradecere.
