I didn't even step in the sand and a person approached and pulled my little curtain. I was with my children in my arms. They don't respect mothers, old people, anyone. The beach itself has always been good, but the rise in violence discourages. I've come several times and seen more police. Security is weak!

Very nice place, and good apartment.
However, my husband's chain was stolen from him on the beach, he ran behind, yelled at people, but no one did anything, the place is full of margins, it was the first and last time.

Beautiful beach with quite a structure but, despite what we read on several sites there, it is not pet friendly. The kiosks even do not attend you if you are with a dog.

We visited the beach of Pitangueiras in the middle of the week in low season and it looked like another beach when compared to some recent reviews. Everything very clean and an extensive strip of free sand for a good walk. The sea water was with a beautiful color and the temperature quite pleasant. From what I read here on TripAdvisor, weekend in high season and not even thinking. Worth a visit!

I spent most of my holidays and weekends in Guaruja in the 70s, 80s and part of the 90s when it was still relatively quiet. I do not go anymore and I do not recommend it to anyone because it has become a bastion of vagabonds who can assault you or do anything worse at any time of day or night. Unfortunately...

The beach is clean. The place is well centralized. Close to everything. Great places for lunch, coffee and Shopping. The sea waves are strong but do not bother. It's worth it.

The beach is beautiful, but Guarujá has banned the use of tents and speakers. A ridiculous law. If you are looking for a lively beach, to hear a good sound while watching the clear waters of the sea, go to Ubatuba
