Não quero ser injusto por isso explico minha avaliação de três estrelas. Estive lá com minha vc esposa e um bebê de um ano E cinco meses. Para ele não foi muito interessante. Por conta disso também não pode explorar todas as atrações e potencialidade do museu.

O Museu me surpreendeu positivamente!
A entrada é gratuita e o acervo do museu é riquíssimo e extremamente bem preservado!
Inclusive, a construção em si, histórica e com a parede de azulejos, também agrega ao passeio!
Além disso, há um jardim belíssimo que rende ótimas fotografias!

This museum is maintained by the public University of São Paulo (USP) and is located on the house where an important meeting took place, with politicians and rich slave owners coffee plantations moguls got together to arranje the change of political regime from empire to republic, which in reality represented the change from monarchic colony to economic colony of the big trusts and corporations in the first world. I'm writing with this political taint because I could really feel it in this museum, embedded in the furnitures, portraits, silverware and even in a small slave carried litter, in working conditions, exposed in the basement, which was in activity less than 2 centuries ago.

The Museu Republicano is housed in the building in which the Republican Convention took place in 1873. Besides being a historical place, the building is itself a very mice example of a residence of the wealthy inhabitants of the interior of the State of São Paulo.
The collection of the museum has nice very furniture, porcelain and glassware used in such houses.
There is also some interesting information about the bandeirantes who explored the interior of Brazil.

O museu é lindo. Fomos com crianças pequenas, o que realmente não indico. A entrada é gratuita e vale a pena dar uma passada, mesmo que rápida.

Bem organizado. Funcionários solicitos e com disposição para informações. Edifício histórico, que foi ambiente de importante episódio da proclamacaocda republica.Tem jardim e sanitários limpos no local.

It’s is free visit. The building and the history is very interesting. We asked for someone to guide us. They gave a electronic-tour guide, very helpful.
At the end, we meet a researcher (volunteer) History teacher. We had great conversation and he explained so many details about paintings, maps and books to read about that time in Brazil’s History. He told about a place with more historical discovers, in near city. The next day we went to Porto Feliz and visited the places the professor told us.
