Awful wait time and poor service

We were excited to try this place so saved it for last on our 3 day stay in 5 points. There was a line to get in so we assumed that's a great sign. Nope. Got seated in a timely manner, then we waited. And waited. Finally the waiter came over to get our drink order then left. He returned with drinks minutes later then showed us the QR code so we could see the menu. We were disappointed to see a brunch only menu as we wanted lunch. After waiting 20 more min we were finally able to order. The food didn't come out for an hour! Chicken and pancakes and breakfast burger. No silverware. Waiter said he'd bring some- never came back. So my husband had to go get it. No drink refills for me but my husband got one without asking. And we were friendly so nothing bad would happen to our food. Waiter said the slow service was due to lack of staff but we saw many employees walking around. Other tables were waiting forever as well. Food was decent so 2 stars but wouldn't go here again.

Was good

Different environment than expected, service was good. Chicken wings w mango habanero sauce were very good. Wifey enjoyed the tater skins a lot. Cold beer was scrumptious. I like cold beer.

Good burger and steak fries

I stopped here for dinner as this restaurant was close to my hotel. This restaurant has a comic book theme mixed with sports bar and an eclectic mix of everything else. On Tuesday nights they have a burger and fries special for $6.00. I had the Hulk burger which consisted of a large beef patty, bacon, avocado and all the normal accompaniments. It was good.

Interesting experience for older couples

This was recommended by another restaurant where we arrived at closing time (5 pm Sunday). Definitely a younger crowd with a bit of body Tats. Excellent large burgers, pasta was also good. We took pictures beneath the Mickey Mouse head in a guillotine. Fair selection of local brews.

Overpriced and slow

Drinks were slow to receive and pretty overpriced, and the mixed drinks didn't seem to have much alcohol and they were pretty pricey for what we got. People were nice but very slow service. Meh.

Hopping Place

This appeared to be a local hangout. People were sitting outside and inside. Very noisy dimly lit sports bar atmosphere. I like that kind of thing, but some folks don’t. Food was good, but not over the top great bar food.

Had the protein plate. Chicken was a large portion and decent. The veggies were delicious. Would have liked to see more healthy options on the menu and the place was really dark and uninviting inside. The bartender was very nice.

Why haven’t I eaten here before

Work takes time to Birmingham all of the time. I had heard of black market grill but I had never stopped in until today. All I can say is eat here.

Potato skins were the best I’ve ever eaten. Do yourself a favor and order these.

I ordered the queso burger and it was not what I expected. I thought it would just be a cheese burger but it was exactly what it said. It was a nice burger with white queso dip poured over it. The bun was fantastic which isn’t something Ibusuallt even notice. The meat was fresh and high quality.

I will be back!

Was in Birmingham for business and went twice.

First time was for dinner, I had the protein place. The chicken was super dry.

The second time was for lunch. I had the chicken salad sandwich. Again, super dry.

The servers were nice but the food was blah.

How is this place open?

There is almost nobody here. Our very simple drink order took almost 20 minutes, and they still screwed it up. I wouldn't go here again if you paid me. Slow service with a lousy attitude. Avoid.
