This place is called the Panorama Museum. There's the Summer Palace in the same premises, known as the Company Bagh. I liked both the places. it took us 1.5 hrs to go through the galleries. There's a short cut to the Summer Palace from the gate of the Panorama.
These are govt. museums and are very well kept' There is a parking lot too. People should spare time to visit it. From there I learned a lot more about Raja Ranjit Singh, which is just mentioned in the History textbook of standard 8.
The guards and caretakers were very courteous.

The panorama is beautifully made depicting different battles fought by Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji. it will take not more than 20-30min of your time to visit the whole place, so schedule ur itinerary accordingly.

This place is situated in Company Bagh and will let you sneak into every inch of history of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji. The audio system inside is very good and the art used is appreciable.

First it was hard to locate the ticket counter. One has to remove shoes before entering this museum. Panoramic views of various wars fought by Maharaja is really worth visiting.

Maharaja Ranjit Singh has a special place in Sikh History and this museum shows the Life of Ranjit Singh through life size manequins and paintings.
There is also panorama gallery with battle scenes from the life of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.

Summer palace turned into museum, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum is a lovely building which archives the Royal Heritage of Maharaja Ranjit Singh such as arms and armour, outstanding paintings and century old coins and manuscripts.

We went there early morning, so one one else was there.
Gives you the lifestory of Maharaja.
There is an entry fees, which is very nominal.
There can be few improvements. The place was hot, and the fans really didnt make much of a difference.
Also, if there can be a guide to explain the life of Maharaja, it would be easier to follow.
Centrally located, there is a park nearby, so you can sit and relax too.
Ample parking facility.
