It was a great walk through the jungle. Exciting and a little creepy. The way to the waterfall is not for the insecure. Sometimes you walk through the water and balance over stones. We did have slacks on, but this is not recommended.
The waterfall is beautiful and there were monkeys frolicking above the waterfall.
It's wonderful to hear the diversity of birds wandering through the bushes.

It is one of the alternative destinations to beaches and tours to nearby islands. It can be combined with a visit to Mu Ko Lanta National Park, because it is on the way. We arrived at the parking lot (it is marked on Google Map) and they asked us if we wanted the guided tour. We said no (no need), but we still paid something (maybe not for the entrance, but because we parked the scooter under the shed) and they still accompanied us to the Bat Cave. I have seen other controversial reviews about this payment and the courtesy of the guys (which is actually not much); but I do not want to get angry on vacation and so as long as you talk about a few euros, everything is fine. After the cave, we continued alone to the waterfall (just follow the stream). The route is quite easy, although in some places it is a bit bumpy. We were in slippers and it went well, because you often have to walk in the water. In some places, however, the course is very slippery and therefore the ideal would be closed shoes from the sea (but obviously we did not have them). The waterfall itself is not much, but the walk is pleasant and takes place cool under the trees.

We found the entrance fee of 200 Baht per person plus 40 Baht for parking the scooter a bit expensive. The path led through a stream and on the way we saw various lizards and a snake. A guide took us halfway and we had to find the rest of the way and back ourselves. It was a bit poorly marked, and actually not at all, where you had to go.

It’s a bit of a hike, to get there you are taken by the guides , they charge 200 Baht each for the National Park. Our guide was lovely she was very informative.
You trek through the forest & streams to get there , wear comfortable walking shoes & if offered a wooden stick take it !
It’s a nice trek if you like walking & the waterfall is nice when you finally get there 👍

We heard about this waterfall through TikTok as ‘free’ things to do.. then like most, read the reviews who said if you enter one way, you will meet tour guides asking for 200 baht per person to take you down. We went along with it anyway and we are so grateful we did! Half way down.. we were met with a Black Mamba snake. We were a bit hesitant to continue but our tour guide took us different routes to avoid it. Without her, lord knows.. there were people walking the trek on their own barefoot. We also saw huge tarantulas. The tour guide is supposed to only take you as far as the bat cave and you’re supposed to walk the rest yourself to the waterfall.. for 50 baht per person she stays with you.. which we were more than happy to pay. On our way back we come across another Black Mamba or the same one,.. so we took another route back. We wouldn’t have known how to get back without her! It was a lovely experience seeing the waterfall and the cave! And we stopped at a viewpoint restaurant on our way back to watch the sunset. Avoid going in the evening even if it’s light as that’s when you’re most likely to come across the snakes

40 bath for scooter parking
200 bath per person for park entry (including national park) would be OK if the path to the waterfall or cave was visible and in a reasonably good condition!
It was said to be 30 minutes one way.
It took us over an hour to get there because the path was in a catastrophic state.
Hope this is only like this in the off-season.
The cave is not worth seeing, the waterfall is OK.
No wild animals, if you want to go there, good shoes that can get wet and dirty. Since you have to cross the small river at least twice
Wouldn't recommend it

Rode our scooters and yes paid the 200bt entry per person not a lot of money. Path is kind of clear east up and down basically following the river. Saw monkeys along the way. About 45 min walk in. It’s monsoon season so we had a nice downpour walking out and cooled us down and sunny all the way back. We’ve loved riding our scooters slowly around Lanta. Taking it easy and very few cars to navigate.

DON’T GET SCAMMED!!!
We went there to walk by ourselves to the waterfall. When you get there the “Eco-Tourism” will meet you first.
They told us that we should pay 200 baht/person to get a guide with us. We didn’t want to do that so we walked to the park ranger 50 meters up the hill. The park ranger didn’t speak any English but the people from “Eco-Tourism” told us we MUST have a guide and it’s cheaper to do with them.
We payed the company and walked to the waterfall with a guide (wasn’t bad in any way) but when got back we wanted a ticket for the national park so we could go too the lighthouse in the national park.
Suddenly no one could speak any English and they refused us a ticket (although we saw the ticket that the park ranger stamped).
They just lied to us, we met a lot of people that walked alone too the waterfall without any guide.
Don’t listen too the Eco company, walk alone (just follow the creek) and get your ticket.

Costs 200B for entry and 40B for parking just fyi. We had already paid national park fees for Ko Lanta but were still denied entry unless we paid the 200B so it seems to be a ticketing system rather than park fees. Applies to the bat cave too. A man about 200m down the path will stop you unless you pay.

Can you just turn up and get a guide if you want ? Thinking of doing this trek tomorrow morning ....

You don’t need any guide. Just follow the signs “elephant trekking” and put your scooter at a parkingplace. You’ll see a walking path and you wil probably find your way to the waterfall.
