We both thought this place was absolutely epic. A really relaxing walk where you can get plenty of sun and also get a great dose of culture. It really feels like another world and you can take some quality pictures too.

Take a trip to the 1km bamboo bridge. Stroll along the bridge and take in the countryside, together with the cattle that roams the fields. You will reach a temple at the end with a nice garden. You can chose to go back on the bridge or the forest walk.

On our way there, we encountered a sign that said the bamboo bridge was closed. We almost turned around, but we came across some other people who informed us it was open. We drove the rest of the way up (many switchbacks on a bumpy road) and found a place to park right in front of the Covid screening area. There was no admission fee, just an optional donation box. We enjoyed wandering around the bridge above the beautiful green rice fields. I loved it, but my kids (age 6, 8, and 10) said they thought it a bit boring. We spent about an hour there. We hardly saw another soul the entire time. The bridge is falling apart in a few places, so step carefully or you might fall through. They said that they are getting ready to repair it in another week or so.

Stunning area, beautiful rice paddies, working fields and bridge, awesome, bumpy, windy road there. It is sparse at the moment during COVID times but worth a visit.

We came here yesterday during sunset time and today. Yesterday was clear and today is a rainy day. But no matter what the weather is like, here is always amazing and beyond expectation. If possible, I would like to stay here for a few months.

De weg naar deze attractie is uitdagend, maar de beloning is daar. In het regenseizoen zal het nog mooier zijn. Mooie bamboe paden over de rijstvelden naar de tempel en de de trap naar de hemel, leuk.

What a cool place. Walking through the rice paddies on the bamboo bridge seeing many water buffalos and then the beautiful temple at the end - highly recommend.

We live in Chiang Mai and have toured most of Thailand during the past 6 years. Boon Ko Ku So Bridge was very scenic in the nearby mountains just outside of Pai. It was a fairly long drive from the main highway on a bumpy narrow mountain road. The village is quite small and the main attraction was the bamboo bridges and walkways that lead back to a forest temple. We walked only to the coffee shop and opted not to go any further that day.

Leuk idee om te doen, maar verveelt gauw. Het was heel rustig met nagenoeg geen toeristen. de mensen zijn er nog steeds mee bezig

This was in my top 3 of the full day tour around Pai countryside.
If I had been on a bike I would have done landslide first then onto here. We only had 40 minutes here and it was not enough. I could have spent a good hour and a half leisurely walking bridge stopping along it and taking in different views. The entrance fee was included in our tour price,
There were farmers at work in the rice fields and cattle grazing around very noisily with their bells.
There were workers working on the next part of the bridge which I could have sat and watched for longer too. Shame bridge wasn’t finished as would have liked to see forest temple but we would have needed more time given by our guide to do this.
Friends at my hostel said there is a great food place and hammocks to chill out and take in the countryside or have a snooze.
This would have made a perfect day trip on a bike and perhaps doing the landslide first before here with a lovely stroll, lunch and chill in hammocks.

How do you get here from pai?

The proprietor of our cabin - Pai Homey - recommended a driver to us and he took us around for a good part of a day to see the bridge as well as the giant Buddha and the land split. It was inexpensive and a nice way to see sights close to town. We did see people renting motor bikes to visit some of the same places but didn't feel we knew the area well enough to do that.
