Beautiful area with temples and a pagoda and view points to explore. You can park your bikes etc for a small fee. There are a few small stall holders in the area. Very peaceful and beautiful, definitely recommend visiting at a quieter for a more peaceful experience. We enjoyed taking the path around the right hand side of the lake where you can climbs up some steps and descend down into a pretty valley with a small body of water and a cave.

Nice temple built in the mountains. It is pretty impressive to see. The entrance is free, but the gate closes at 5pm.
The place is accessible.on a bike (10-15 minutes). Parking it will cost you 5kD per bike, but they will try to raise it 10kD.

Be careful when visiting here as they try to rip you off when you are parking your bicycle or scooter. At first one man tried to charge us 50,000, but when I refused he got angry and started waving a ticket in my face. I asked another tourist how much they paid to park their bicycle, and they had paid 20,000. The man heard me ask this so demanded I then paid 30,000 (different price) because a scooter was more expensive than the bicycle. Eventually we gave in because he was being very aggressive and wouldn’t leave us alone.
The pagoda itself isn’t great at all, and there are way better ones throughout Vietnam, so I’d say it’s barely even worth coming here.

Cette pagode encastrée dans une montagne est réellement magnifique.
L'entrée est gratuite et l'on peut déambuler entre plusieurs bâtiments. Par une volée d'escaliers on accède à une partie du temple encastrée et creusée à même la roche ! la vue y est ravissante.
Sur le côté un petit chemin permet de rejoindre un petit étang au milieu des rizières.

Complesso di pagoda molto bello, io l'ho raggiunto a piedi da Tam Coc (circa mezz'ora di passeggiata in mezzo a panorami fiabeschi). Le pagode sono ricavate dentro delle grotte.

My husband and I biked to the pagoda, It seemed like such a lovely peaceful place ruined by some guys blowing whistles rushing in front of us and pointing to where he wanted us to park our bikes and telling us we needed to pay. It totally put us off - starting to feel that everyone just wants money out of you. It would have been nice to have a drink at one of the coffee shops there but we took a photo then turned around and left. Really put a damper on visiting what looked like a beautiful place. I would happily pay an entry fee to know it went to the upkeep of these temples but not to line the pocket of some random.

Esta pagoda corresponde a un templo en el area de Ninh Binh. Tiene varios pequeños altares a medida que vas subiendo el cerro, algunos al exterior y otros dentro de cuevas. Tiene hermosas vistas y vale la pena verlo, como un extra a las Mua cave y Tam coc.
Tips:
-Hay algunas escaleras bastante empinadas y resbaladisas, no recomeddable para personas con problemas de movilidad.

BE AWARE OF FAKE PARKING
We cycled here and about approx 500 meters from entrance, the scammers will start to tell you you must park here and there.
Just ignore them.
As you approach to the entrance, there is a small bridge to the main gate. You will find a parking, and more aggressive (just yelling, nothing else) saying the same: you have to park here, you can enter to temple, waving a red flag to you like if you were Hamilton on a F1 race. And using whistles. They are funny to be honest. Just ignore them, cross the bridge and take your bike inside the pagoda courtyard. Park it there. If they keep yelling just tell them to bring you an official ticket or to point to you a sign stating you cannot park inside.. they will yell, but nothing else. Tell them to keep their hands away from yourself. Then they will tell you people is praying and more bullsh1t so you feel bad for entering to courtyard. In this case, tell them they are the ones not respecting the sacred place by telling and trying to scam. Also remind them that karma will act upon them and in next afterlife they will become døg guardians to learn loyalty. PS: Pagoda is nice lol

I hear that Vietnam is closed due covid and that there are contaminatid people at Danang. Contact your local ambassade to be sure that Vietnam is closed.

we are on the Hanoi: Eco Tour and Biking to Hoa Lu and Tam Coc for the day , do you know if when getting off the boats theres another way to get to the caves than by bikes ? moto taxi or so?

You can get a scooter taxi just go to any shop or you'll see them ask if you need one on the roadside once you get off the boat) but of course bargain, hard as it's not that far.

There may be a closing time for visitors like 6pm, I am not sure. There is, what looked like a 4 star hotel on site so access at night may be limited to hotel guests. Sorry cannot be more helpful.
