We have just added our laudatory comment to all those already published on the site. Wonderful experience with Kelvin, Suanne, Cyril and all the staff. Our children, aged 14 and 11, finished their open water training (started in Switzerland) and the 4 of us then dived as a family. We were worried before departure about not having found a center with French-speaking instructors for the children but Cyril's support as a divemaster for the lessons and the translation into French was very comfortable. Despite not having extraordinary visibility during our stay, the diving spots are incredibly diverse. The team is extremely professional and listens to everyone's needs and expectations. We felt safe throughout our experience. Thanks again to the whole team.

My wife and I travelled from the UK back to Perhentian with our 5 children after last visiting 25 years ago. We wanted them to experience scuba diving for the first time and chose Flora Bay based on their reputation and great reviews. We 100% made the right choice as Kelvin, Henry and the team made the experience one that we will never forget. Two of the children did their Open Water course and the rest of us did Discover Scuba and a series of fun dives. I would highly recommend Flora Bay Divers for their professionalism, expertise and commitment to running an ethical and ecologically aware dive operation. The communication and customer service was very good as there was lots of dialogue pre-holiday and from the moment we arrived they showed great flexibility to ensure that we all got to do plenty of dives without feeling rushed and with consideration to the younger children in our group. Their expert knowledge of the reefs and patient approach to teaching made the experience and we all got to see turtles, sharks, a huge variety of fish and corals, moray eel, sea snakes and all of the fantastic marine life that we wanted the children to see.

Did 6 dives with FBD. The facility is very well organized and spacious. Gear is in good condition and looks to be well maintained. Dives were on time. Briefings were clear with nice chalk board style dive site illustrations. Dive sites are close. All my dives were at 15-20 meters. There's alot of fish life and some larger creatures like turtles, rays, Humphead Parrotfish and Blacktip Sharks. Staff is very helpful throughout the diving process. I checked out the other shops on this section of beach and found FBD seemed to have the best setup. I strongly recommend this dive shop. It was a little further to walk from my chalet but well worth it. Cheers to the team at FBD.

We had a great experience at the Flora Bay Divers diving center. Our first good impression came from our email booking experience by having Siti that responded well to all our inquiries, via email and text message. The facilities were top-notch, with clean and well-maintained equipment. Their diving center is also located nearby to the shore (about 5 meters to the boat), so you don't have to worry about carrying your diving gear, especially for those who have back problems.
I got Kelvin as my instructor. He is very passionate about teaching, patient, well experienced and knowledgeable and will keep you safe the entire time. There was a time where I panicked during my confined water session, but my instructor was patient and helped me to feel better and confident before he tuned it based on my skills. I had a wonderful learning session for my Open Water course and I would definitely recommend the Flora Bay Divers diving center to anyone who is interested in learning to dive or exploring the underwater world.
On behalf of my friends - Afiqah, Ika, Killa & Alex, a big shout out to all other staff - Monkey, Joshua, Paulyne, and everyone for making it nice, memorable, and most importantly a safe diving experience!

Staff were soo friendly and helpful and our instructor for the open water padi cert was great. I was nervous and not super excited about diving to begin with but I had a lot of fun and will definitely do more diving after this experience with Flora Bay! We took a package with the Flora Bay resort, which made the trip really easy to organise.

We came for a get together trip and to our licenses. A big shout out to all the staff Zam, Kelvin, Henry and everyone for making it fun and relaxing one.
Place is clean and the view is breath taking.

Unforgettable experience!
We are a couple (24, 27) and did the open water diver course with Kelvin as our dive instructor. The whole team is very professional regarding the preparations and the dive lessons as well. Prior to the start of the course the administration lady Siti was really accommodating with all our questions and worries.
Everyone at the dive center is helpful and relaxed and the atmosphere is chill and pleasant.
Kelvin is a patient and empathetic dive teacher with much of dive experience. He was able to help each of us for our individual deficiency. His English is clear and easy to understand for non english speakers. We felt very safe during the whole course. He also teaches us how to dive in a way that protects the environment and the animals underwater.
Also the island, especially the Teluk Dalam Bay where the dive center is located, is a absolutely beautiful place with white, sandy and quiet beaches.
We are very thankful for this awesome experience and the wonderful stay at the Perhentian Islands! And thanks to Kelvin - it couldn't have been better!
P.S.: Kelvin you were right, we got our corn not until Lombok.. :D

I was there to do the open water diver. It was absolutely fantastic. Celvin is such a good teacher and the location is just great. I highly recommend to go there too. If I had more time, I would do the advanced open water diver course there as well. Thank you guys!

Amazing experience with Flora bay divers! I did my open water course there, they have been really professional and friendly at the same time! I found a really good atmosphere and the organisation was really good! The perhentian islands are a wonderful place for diving and this school is located in one of the best beaches!

Hola! Sorry we do not have any Spanish Instructor at the moment. You can try the Panorama Divers or Anti Gravity Divers. They may have Spanish instructors! :) Good luck!

Hello Sadhana,
Yes,a non swimmer can still enjoy the dives. As long as you're comfortable in water then all is good. If you're not,we recommend you to take up some basic swimming lessons just to be comfortable and gain more confidence in water.
