Attention Brazilians!!
Sorry I haven't read Tripadvisor reviews before!
For those who are going to expect a bath of running and thermal waters such as, for example, at the Rio Quente Resort in Caldas Novas, will be disappointed!
Upon arrival there we found small pools with super floors ..
The water seemed to be dirty besides being stuck... besides a unpleasant smell for being sulfuric water!
We rent swimsuits for 5 Soles and the entry for foreigners costs 20 Soles!
We went up, we saw the place and we went down! In total we spent for four people: 80 Soils for entrance and 20 soils for bathing suits..
It wasn't worth it! Do not recommend!

The hike to get to the hot springs was beautiful. Make sure you stop by the waterfalls on your way there. You can’t beat it, only 20 soles to enter. Must do after you visit Machu Picchu

Visitors should be aware that the place where they can bathe in thermal waters is a complex with 5 small pools of sulfurous water from the river, that is, THERE IS SULFUR IN THE WATER!!!
This gives the water a cloudy and clear color, the smell isn't that good.
Assimilating such information allows you to have an Ok experience! (nothing surreal for me, as I'm from Goiás and live in Caldas Novas 🤣).

It was peaceful and relaxing. If you want to avoid crowds, just wake up early in the morning like 6 AM and go then, that’s what I did & it applies to everything (the early bird gets the worm) My experience was beautiful. Everyone that worked there was very kind to me, the water was very clear, there was a pretty flower aroma, and the walk up to the hot springs was gorgeous I loved the sculptures and nature. 🌅

The place is poorly located and after paying 20s, you still have to walk 10 minutes. You must then place your bag in a locker and collect a key without a bracelet. Shelves to place your towel in plain sight. After 30 minutes someone took my briefcase and my key. I was only able to get my bag back after 10 minutes of talking while being completely frozen

Yuck. There should be a capacity. When we went each pool was crowded, the water brown you couldn’t see the bottom (except the cold tub that was empty and clear). Band-aids floating… There are no seats in the tubs so you stand around and they could be hotter.

We loved the waterfall there. Makes the.ride worth it.

I agree with the person who said something about this being a third world country. It’s not the Ritz. However, after a hike on the Inca Trail, it was heavenly. Different pools have different temps. They even have a cold plunge pool (if you’re into that sort of thing). We went in the hottest one, which in September was 99 degrees F. Yes, it was a little crowded but still enjoyable. You can even order a cocktail to be delivered poolside. BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS so you’re not sad when you get out.

After a very long day, and sour feet, we wanted to relax a bit at the hot springs,
The walk was long, the water were quite cold, it was crowded,
but the worst point is that the facilities are not sufficient,
We had to wait in the cold for the dressing rooms, no real showers, the outside shower is of cold water....
Btw, we were in other thermal hot springs in Peru, at Chivay, and they were great.

I really enjoyed these.
Quite a walk up - with stones to look at and nice views.
Clean enough. Clear locker system (leave things behind reception and get key band).
Pools are okay - none are boiling hot but very relaxing after walking around the area.

Their website says they are open 5am to 8pm every day.
We went about 6pm in October, very relaxing after a long day on our feet.
Can rent towels and even bathers at a multitude of stalls on the walk to the springs.

Hola, voy en Julio a Cusco, la idea es estar un día en cusco, otro en machi picchu y otro en valle sagrado. Aguas calientes es para ir por un rato luego de machu picchu o dormiste allá? Gracias!
