Absolutely beautiful clock collection

It was a very lovely visit and the clocks in their collection are absolutely beautiful. Would of gladly spend more hours there to study each and every one in detail. Would totally recomand. The building itself is also absolutely gorgeous. The only thing I personally didn't like was that we weren't informed that in order to photograph the exhibits you need to pay a fee, as I would of paid it if I would of been informed prior the entry but that's not something to deter you from enjoying the place without your phone

Short visit

If you are visiting Ploiesti reserve 45 minutes an visit the watch museum. The museum house is a stylish house from XIX century and inside you will find a short history of watches and rare watches collection! There are no more than 45-60 min required, even shorter if you are not gong to study all the exposed pieces. Plan the visit in such way to catch the fix hour time inside and have the songs of pendulums.

We really enjoyed our visit to the clock museum, the place is very easy to find, not crowded at all. The staff was knowledgeable and very happy to assist us. Recommend it!

Interesting little museum

This is a tiny 5-room museum about clocks. One doesn’t need more than 5 rooms for that. Measuring time is fascinating, and one can find here most devices man invented for this purpose. Items are labeled in Romanian and English, so no guide is actually needed, if you want to take your time. Most probably a guide could offer more details, especially about the personalities who owned certain clocks, but we just enjoyed the museum on our own. Some of the time pieces are exquisite.

There is also an animated presentation with old photos of the city, and a video presentation of music boxes and gramophones.

Bonus points: toilets are nice and clean, which is a pleasant surprise in a city which otherwise does not strike to have a particularly good relationship with cleanliness.

Unforgettable experience

The museum is incredibly beautiful and there is a small garden right outside the entrance that resemblance a clock, which is super pretty. The staff was very friendly and helped make ghe whole experience even better by giving suggestions on how to move through the exhibits and giving a little info about some of the clocks. The exhibition itself was amazing. There were many interesting and stunishingly beautiful clocks collected from the beginning of time measuring machines up to the 20th century. There was also a very interesting projection about the history of the museum through time. My favourite part was the small collection of gramophones and musical boxes that you could listen to using a tablet. Overall it was a truly great experience and I'd love to go back. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the city to check it out.
