They have good ambience and average collection of books.
The only reason to visit a book store instead of purchasing discounted books online is that we can see the quality and read few pages before buying.
But their staff doesn't allow customers to read and then choose whether to buy or not.
The staff told me that I can read the book only after buying.
I'm not going to visit the store again.

Für Buchliebhaber und Leser eine wunderbare kleine Oase mit einem Café. Ein toller Ort für Sonntagvormittags und ein mehr als zauberhafter Manager, der sich rührend kümmert und mit Tipps und Buchvorschlägen nur so sprüht. Wir hatten nur wenig Zeit, aber diese eine Stunde war jede Minute wert, die wir dort am Sonntagvormittag verbringen konnten. Natürlich nicht, ohne mit einer gefüllten Büchertasche den Laden wieder zu verlassen...

Not the widest selection of books but popular authors latest works are available. There is a notable inventory of both coffee table and regular publications focussed on Indian authors and local subject matter and settings. A relaxing place in which to browse and then take refreshment at the adjacent cafe which is always lively.

Oxford books was on my list due to all positive reviews here. We went there for specific Indian books, and could not get it.
The place has a good selection, but looks a bit abandoned. No staff around the shelves to help, and many empty spaces.
The adjoining cafe is nice, but they did not allow taking the books there (it is in the same floor, no doors in between) unless you have already paid.
On the positive side, the cashier recommended another bookstore for us to find what we were looking for. Amrit Bookstore, in the same area, a whole different experience.

I spent a week in Delhi and was determined to find out if any worthwhile bookstores exist in the city. Oxford books is by far the best the city has to offer. This store combines a fantastic selection with the kind of ambience that makes you want to stick around awhile. They may not have every book on your list, but if you go in looking for something interesting, you’ll leave with a stack of books.
Attached cafe is a cozy place to hang out. If you bring a bag, check it downstairs.
Foreigners will find plenty of familiar authors alongside the best authors in India. Oxford is absolutely the best of both worlds.

For avid readers,this bookshop provides a great sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Delhi.
A great range of new and old titles .
The cafe is also top notch.

Spent a long time looking at books, so many choices!! Then went for lunch and drink. Both were ok but the services was chaotic. Someone at my table had a coffee then was given wrong bill then no bill. Her coffee later appeared on my bill (and no I didn’t know her). We decided that she would give me her share and I would pay bill. Wouldn’t rush back to cafe but would head for books next time I am in Dehli.

It’s a happening place in CP but we were not happy with the service. We ordered and kept waiting and waiting. When enquirer about our order they didn’t know about it because the girl who had taken our order had gone home because her duty was over without informing anyone else. After all this we got to know what we had ordered was finished.
Totally mismanaged. Though we ordered pizza and garlic chilly toast which were good.
They don’t have enough collection of books too.

I visited the bookstore to buy some foreign language books. The Spanish and French books were all second-hand and priced between 1200 and 4000. Really ridiculous for second-hand, dog-eared books. The cafe was busy but the toilets were very unhygienic.

The Oxford Book store is perhaps one of the most popular book stores in CP. The place is still the same, though is better stacked. You will surely find some really interesting books here, just ask.

Hi. They have all kinds of books but best to call them and ask if you are looking for a specific book because they might have limited variety of medical books.
