I booked 3 days of tour with Hidden Jaipur based on the glaring and consistent 5️⃣⭐ Reviews here in Tripadvisor. And after my trip, I clearly understood why.
1. Professional yet Intimate
As a solo traveler who booked her trip last minute, clearly I had so many things that I have not researched about my trip. Communication with Hidden Jaipur (HJ) from 1 month up until leading to the day of my trip has been consistenty clear and professional.
HJ provided me plenty of options on what activities and sights- a mix of both mainstream places where I can marvel at the city's grand history and architecture, and also offbeat places where I could breathe and savor local life as it is. You get to talk directly with the owner while planning your trip so you can decide with him any details in setting things up and get confirmation easily. I think thats pretty convenient. Oh, and it is noteworthy that they are on-time to any activity everyday!
2. Flexible and Affordable
Because HJ is a small tour operator in Jaipur, they are able to customize and adjust to your querky needs such as - stopping cycle tour to watch how Paneer (my fave) is made in the middle of streets, watching a bollywood movie and taking time to click as many pictures as I want. All these just my small requests that they have went out of their way to do so. For what it costs, i got more than what I paid for.
3. Great balance of history, knowledge, action and adventure and IG-worthy moments
I am excited learning about history and experiencing culture as much as I love clicking photos while doing so. Jaipur's ins and outs did not disappoint. The history and archi of the palaces, forts and temples were mindblowing to say the least. However, I think the city of Jaipur could do better preserving them especially with peaking affordable tourism influx.
For the ones up for action and adventure, I did a cycle tour on busy Diwali day and climbed fort ruins near Jaigarh Fort.
Raju and Sid did a wonderful job in the cycle tour - navigating me around the busy streets of Jaipur Diwali Day. They always looked out for me and made sure I was able to enjoy the melodic chaos around me. We cycled, we walked, we ate and we chilled around different parts of the city early morning. I noted that they are concurrently hosting other cycle tours but they were able to made sure I get different places well ahead of the other crowd so I can enjoy the sights on my own.
Monkey-ing around in a Hanuman temple (not sure of name) near Jaigarh fort where I enjoyed interacting with monkeys, breathing fresh air, feasting on the scenic views and just getting a lot of workout climbing the hills made this experience pretty memorable.
The walk around the busy markets and back alleys of Jaipur with Viru was just as great as I get to experience all market day and dynamics, including observing how people made diff Indian food in the back of their shops.
Thanks Sajid / Eric Bana my tuktuk driver for being on time always and driving me safely everywhere, and oh for smiling 😄
There are so many other places I visited around Jaipur with these guys. I did all the touristy places as well but perhaps the other reviews here have covered that already, so maybe you can check those out instead.
4. Family in New Friends
Maybe its the Indian culture or maybe its just these guys, but the Hidden Jaipur team will treat you like family so much so that they open their own homes and have you meet their own families too.
Thank you to my wonderfuly family in Jaipur! Until next time 💕
