Stunning and well looked after. Very clean. The detail is really something. I had a guide with me and there is so much to learn. Footwear must be removed before entering. You can only take a photograph from the outside or on the steps before you enter. They are very strict with this.

Very serene, secret, quiet and clean temple with Radha Krishna big size idol and side by side Maata Rani and Bhole Baba, very nice temple, a must visit place.

A very calming and peaceful place( just as a temple should be). It is a very beautiful and clean temple where you can sit down and meditate/ pray peacefully.

Architecture, craftmanship and use of coloured glass and mirrors is amazing. Our guide explained the significance of the place and the history. Learnt a lot about the people and culture as well saw the amazing building and gardens

The Birla Mandir is built in a contemporary style & has three impressive shikhars. Shlokas & pictorial depictions from the Bhagavad Gita are engraved on the marble walls.
All the idols inside – Radha Krishna, Shiv, Durga, Shakti, Hanuman, Ganesh, Dashavtars – are bewitching!
Visit at the time of the aarti.
Note – Photography is prohibited inside. Cell phones have to be switched off. The shoe counter is located at the bottom of the stairs.

Visited on Dec 2021 with my family. We clubbed some shopping at Gariahat and a festival at Ice skating rink beside Birla museum. We walk all through to this temple, visited and the proceed towards Gariahat area. Birla temple is famous now, a sightseeing spot loved by the Kolkata visitors. Keep 1 to 2 hours in hand for experiencing it fully. Worth visit.

In this temple the security stuffs are doing too much disturb to the visitors, always they has problem if anyone sitting any where not allowed, if anyone roaming then not allowed , if anyone received an emergency call then not allowed. we knows temple is the peaceful place for everyone but I think securities are totally put of this knowledge, people's coming for relaxation, concentration but if they several time poked you you just feel what's comes in your mind? j request to the authority kindly just checked the securities activity, most people are irritated by their behaviour.

No, there is no parking in the temple premises. One needs to on one of the side roads next to the temple

I understand that because of the ongoing civil works at the Birla Temple in Ballygunge they are not in a position to conduct marriage ceremonies for the next 1 to 1.1/2 months. However, you may contact them directly either personally or on phone. Their telephone number is 033-2461 5717.

The security personnel present at the entrance gate would tell you to switch-off your mobile phone while entering the temple. Also if you ask the person whether photos can be clicked inside temple or not, he would tell you that it is not allowed to take photos inside.

The temple is open in the morning from 5.30 A.M. to 11 A.M. and in the evening from 4 .30 P.M. to 9 P.M
There is a no closing day and can be accessed on all days.
You can expect extra rush at Janmashtami as it is primarily a Vishnu/Krishna temple.
