Don't miss it as you walk the famous Nanjing Road. It's easy to miss as there are hundreds of attractions on this pedestrian walkway competing for your attention. When the street outside is crowded, or wet, you can duck in here and escape for an hour or two. Spiralling escalators? What?! Cool atritum when it' 35 outside. It's a short walk from The Bund.

Dropped by as it is opposite our dinner location. Daimaru is a famous japanese department store. The ground floor of cosmetics is impressive. The rest of the mall is the typical mix of mundane - fashion, household goods, food court. Supermarket is Ole and non japanese

This is a review strictly for the food court at the B2 level of the mall - and it is EXCELLENT. Great selection of bakeries (special mention to Lillian bakery (egg tarts) and Harbin bakery (all sorts of cream-filled things). Also excellent selection of other foods. Not overwhelmingly big, but enough choice, decent price level and great quality food. Was particularly convenient as I stayed at a hotel across the street.

南京東路駅直結のデパートです。
中央の巨大な吹き抜けには珍しい螺旋状のエスカレーターがあります。
地下のトイレはさすが日系のデパートだけありとても綺麗でトイレットペーパーもあります。
バンドの夜景を観る際は是非立ち寄りたい場所です。

very nice shopping mall...decent size and able to find all those buys you need. the spiral escalators are really interesting. n smack in the middle a row of elevators. close to the bund (within walking distance)

Für uns kam dieses Kaufhaus sehr gelegen, da wir hier folgendes einkaufen konnten: Badeanzüge, Flipflops, Vans und Converse Schuhe, Jeans, Jacken, T-Shirts. Aber auch hochpreisige Marken sind hier vertreten.

In diesem Einkaufszentrum schlendert man gern. Die geschwungenen Rolltreppen sind aussergewöhnlich. Alles ist liebevoll arrangiert.

Access and Amex credit cards were not accepted, only VIsa. (At least when I was there, 22/9/19)
If you are a foreigner spending over 500 yuan (I think that's the figure) in 24 hours, you can get 9% tax back when you leave. You get special forms from the 6th floor office, which you show at the airport. At Shanghai airport you have to declare the tmes in a red channel as soon as you go into the terminal, and get the forms stamped. You take the stamped forms to a desk at gate 81.

この百貨店にはVIPルームなる休憩室や荷物を預けられる場所があると聞いたのですが、大丸東京の普通のポイントカードがあると利用できるのでしょうか？
その他、VIPルームの空いている時間など、ご存じの方がいらっしゃいましたら、教えていただけませんでしょうか。
